  1. from me too. What better reason to fit them - because you want them! Isn't that why we buy cars like these in the first place? We can always make some logical argument about why we bought one. But, at the end of the day, we buy them because we want to. So why not RBs?
  2. markiebabes YHM to avoid hijacking this thread anymore
  3. Thanks, markiebabes, I like it Have you tied it? 120mph horizontal wind, with or without Roller Barrels, is quite different to 120mph vertical winds
  4. I'm surprised to hear some of you report lower fuel consumption. My figures are all road use not track. I have always managed to get better MPG than most people without being a slug, in cars or on bikes. I drive the R400 like I did my blades: so, fast and with sharp acceleration to overtake - like anyone else I think. Maybe I'm just lucky...... And yes markiebabes, that is Bodyflight Bedford. It's my other job
  5. Actually - either Aeroscreen ? With fittings that is. YHM Edited by - velocityblade on 6 Dec 2010 19:52:03
  6. Hi Duncan Does the Carbon Aeroscreen come complete with all fittings? Mirrors? If so we may have a deal :-)
  7. Though new to 7 ownership, I can say my R400 K series which came with the CCRBs fitted, makes the engine very responsive. Compared to the Roadsport I drove before which, whilst quick, seemed slow to get going, this engine with the CCRBs behaves just like my last Fireblades (2 wheeled variety) with instant response and pull. The noise is good to hear but in all honesty, when you floor it while driving, other noises pretty much obliterate the induction sound. I don't have a comparison of power before and after the RBs were fitted though I know mine was turning out 216BHP when tuned a couple of months ago, even though we found 2 cylinders had significantly leaking inlet valves (fixed now). So an extra 10BHP? Maybe. I was getting 30 - 35mpg pre head overhaul, which to me is most excellent. I guess it depends on how heavy footed you are an how much you like the sound of the engine sucking in enough air to create a local low pressure zone.
