  1. Hi again Keechy! Looks like you are having a good clear out. Am interested in a screen as the glass in mine is quite pitted. What kind of condition are they in? The glass not so much the surround. And they will be the same size as an SV I presume. Edited by - velocityblade on 4 Dec 2011 13:04:00
  2. Thanks Keechy. Indeed I have mail But not with a photo, just with the Windows file name IMG_0253.jpg in the text ☹️ I appreciate your help in grappling with the technology. 😬 Can you attach the file to the email, rather than embed it in the text? Looking forward to the next installment
  3. Hmmm. Are you up to e-mailing a photo?
  4. Thanks 😬. Not seen one of those before. Let me see if I can get an idea of how this looks. I guess it doesn't have a handy pocket for stowing things in when it's fitted, does it? Edited by - velocityblade on 25 Nov 2011 22:11:13
  5. Is the Wnd Reducer the normal SBF7 version that clips on the seat headrests? If so I am very interested. Should have added I am in Bedford area on Monday and Thursday if that helps. Edited by - velocityblade on 25 Nov 2011 14:42:02
  6. Wish I could help Mark. CC did it for me while the car was in for a service. I am sure you will get an answer on this forum shortly. Probably several! 😬
  7. Thanks for the update. Mine is a 6" (oo er!) R400 so I'll have to pass this time. Good luck with the sales. So, BTTT
  8. Hi. What diameter silencer does the heat guard fit? And are all the fittings available? Thanks. And whereabouts in West Sussex? Apologies for the inquisition Edited by - velocityblade on 31 Aug 2011 09:59:42
  9. Thankfully little rain and the mud in the main area was drying up. With the prior knowledge we took food and found a slot near a speaker stack. Tim Minchin on top form. Muse? Brilliant. Probably the best festival show I've seen and I've been going since the early 70's. Yep, better than the Who, Zepplin Stones and probably U2
  10. Sorry to hear of your experience. We are off tomorrow, Sunday to see Muse, Elbow and Tim Minchin in particular. Well, we are off as long as my partner remembers what she did with the tickets. She told me they are safe as they are definitely "in the house". So that narrows it down then! I wondered about the mud given how heavy the rain has been. We are now forewarned, thanks. I think some of these festivals have outgrown their roots and try to do too much on the old venues. Too crowded, too small and too expensive. Now I'm begining to sound like my parents 😳 Edited by - velocityblade on 27 Aug 2011 21:36:01
  11. Phil From my many years in Marketing, I deduce that, with so many genuine enquiries, so quickly after posting, you aren't charging enough! 😬 Good luck and thanks for updating me. Chris
  12. Morning Am I reading your edit and the other posting correctly that the draught excluder has gone? If not, first dibs please. Thanks Chris
  13. Update for those of you kind enough to offer advice and those idly checking in on this post.... Picked up the car from CC at Dartford after it's 12k service. Nice job I have to say. As the car was in for 2 days for this service, I asked them to check the earth on the dashboard to see if that was the problem, before I ventured into removing the STACK system and having no car for a few weeks. CC removed, cleaned and replaced all the earth contacts on the switchgear on the dash. Bingo - I can now drive with the heated screen or heater fan or wipers on (or all 3) and my recorded oil pressure and temperature and my water temeperature remain normal! No more nasty STACK flashing lights telling me I had a problem when I didn't. So, all I have now to worry about is a little condensation inside the STACK display, so that will be coming out and going back to STACK when the so-called summer ❗ is behind us and the car can be off the road for a month without me being too upset. Thanks to you all again for your help and advice.
  14. Thanks Doug; you make it sound "Simples" So now I can take the Stack system off and send it back for de-humidifying and a possible PCB change, which will be a great help. That's going to be late July. Hope that clears the electrical problem. If not, it's back to the drawing board..... Thanks everyone for your interest. Update will follow in a couple of months.
  15. Thanks guys. Hmmm - Simples indeed! 🙆🏻 OK am happy to give that a go when I get the car back. Interesting to read about all the misting up, silica gel bags and the like too.
  16. I was just talking with Matthew from Stack as you replied! As you say Neil, really helpful. Seems I will need to take the part out and send it back and have the car off the road for up to 5 weeks. ☹️ How simple a job was it taking the dash out? I was wondering if it is worth asking CC to do that while it is in for it's service next month, or if I should take it out and send it off, afterwards
  17. Beaten by time today Neil but earths were on my list. Problem is, which, where? I also have a build up of condensation in the Stack, which comes and goes. Wonder if there is a connection from what you've said. Edited by - velocityblade on 21 Jun 2011 22:39:49
  18. After scouring previous posts unsuccessfully I am hopeful for POBC to assist. K series R400 Superlight SV 2004. Standard Stack Dash Thought I had a cooling system problem - high water and oil temperatures with low oil pressure happened on a couple of occasions, with all sorts of warning on the Stack. Yet track days and long journeys showed no problems. Examinations showed nothing. Happened again recently so took a look today. Turns out it is some kind of electrical problem. With the water and oil temperature and pressure up to normal, I noticed if I put the heater fan on, indicated water temperature jumped 9 deg and oil pressure fell by around 12. If I turned on the heated screen, similar situation. If I put them both on, water temp went to 104, oil pressure dropped to 15 and the Stack system was a Christmas tree. ☹️ Switch them off, everything is showing normal. I noticed the battery charge fell from 14.4V to13.5V when I turned them both on. I know this is a bit vague but has anyone had any similar experience and/or a suggested fix? I am booked in for the annual service at CC Dartford next month, which will be my (expensive) fall back. 🙅🏻‍♂️ Thanks
  19. CC Link here ebay Link here Shame it's for an S3
  20. A couple of contributions.... Back from the recent Brands GP track day (brilliant Geoff, thanks so much for organising) I estimate about 16mpg. I was doing all I could to "try" too On the way there and back, mpg remained around 35, so similar to others. My take on John's question about mapping - the maps that the Steve's produce are individual to your car - taking into account fueling/cams/exhaust etc. I suspect that any bespoke map they came up with would be better than a generic CC map and could be used in a standard car. I am sure the Steve's or a similar set up would be able to make a better generic map than seems to be found on a standard 7 from the factory. But all that costs money.
  21. Thanks Ray - looks good to me. I've used heat shrink sleeving on a number of things in the past and am confident it will last. I wondered about a "dummy" male connector to be used when the Aero is on, so the female stays clean. That could then be set up in such a way that it secured the female connector and wire to avoid abrasion. I'll think some more. Thanks everyone for the help
  22. Hmmm and I thought this was going to be simple 😬 Neat arrangement with the female connector on the loom side, Rattie. Would work using 2CV's arrangement too.
