  1. Paul James Whiting organised a replacement exhaust system on my VX with tuned primaries and suggested the exhaust was good for 300 hp . . . exhaust note with tuned primaries nicer sound and car performs much better at low revs. Engine not yet upgraded. Chris
  2. Like the expression 'only dead fish go with the flow' Recently discovered the French have an expression - the last thing fish discover is water One of you learned people will correct the quotation and provide the answer in French . . . HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion
  3. Hi Chris Thanks for the article! Have bought some second hand tyres and alloys which are younger - will try and fit them one rainy day. An expert's view on the expected tyre life when stored in the dark on a low weight car would also be interesting. HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion
  4. 1991 HPC driven with mechanical sympathy which still has 3 original tyres - the money saved has been spent on upgrades HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion

  6. Mav I belong to a different race, my cars don't have have stickers . . . Its good you are keeping all the sticker enthusiasts happy, we are all different Would like to continue supporting arch 😶‍🌫️ who have been excellent with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Computer welding robots may be superficially impressive but zilch intelligence or knowledge, anyone can push a button.
  7. Tried posting my first 'slightly challenging' post upstairs on this topic - couldn't understand the sudden interest in the arch chassis . . . Still think they should buy an ariel car with superb arch chassis on display! You would not need the sticker then. I agree Macmillian nurses are wonderful and should be supported - are people really buying a Macmillian nurse sticker? Puzzled
  8. Have you considered jump leads or sometimes called 'booster leads' okay you still need to connect the leads to another car but the leads for sale via Amazon are rated for 750 amps . . . The jump leads are heavy HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion

  14. JW fitted the Alcon some years ago and they are great. Believe their are some other potential complications / costs if you go the AP route and the cost difference is then much greater. HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion
  15. Barry The symbols for 'gender' don't appear, probable a good thing . . . Is it safer to assume all club members are male? Chris HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion

  17. Thanks for that - non known bugs at the moment. The interesting challeng is whether foreign addresses details are handled correctly when people cut and paste data. Have played this game before. Will include German alphabet conversion - or other if there is an interest. Currently limited to longitude range less than 10 degrees West to less than 10 degrees East but can be fixed! HPC7 . . . 18. Delbert The other obvious question with stored information, what additional details would people like? There is space for approx another 200 characters. Next revision of the software could include email addresses and notes. HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion
  19. Delbert Thanks for advice, yes still at the market research stage . . . and how much more development time i should invest. How do i contact Barry the contacts list does not include his details The other useful contact would be the Satellite Navigation expert, can anyone confirm its Julian Thomas - some contact details again would be useful? 21. Hi Are there any guidelines on selling items through Blatchat? Have developed a Contact's Manger software package for use with Garmin Sat Nav (nuvi range) which allows users to enter full address details, convert the postcode, find the latitude and longitude and include telephone and mobile numbers. The files can be converted for Tom Tom users . . . The user enters details on the PC and then downloads the files to the sat nav. Provides the capability to carry around thousands of addresses with full contact details plus sat nav position. The addresses can be grouped into categories of your choice. Have spent several months developing the product, interested in the level of demand, whether its one or twos or hundreds. Feedback on the guidelines and any other advice/comments/interest would be appreciated Plan to post another message 'upstairs' with further details depending on the response. Many thanks in advance HPC7 . . . Cosworth engineering back in fashion
