  1. Tom. The lecture on drag was fascinating it would be better to start with a car which is more aerodynamic It would be interesting to compare top speed of the Seven, Elise, Exige, Zenos (when available) Thanks Chris
  2. The car should run at higher revs regardless of the dynamo/alternator provided the battery is fully charged . . . You have put loads of effort into investigating the dyanmo - it does not sound like a dynamo problem.
  3. I had a problem withan HPC7 when the engine revs were in the range 2500 to 3000. It was eventually traced by Caterham to the connector which joins the wiring looms together. The car was stored in a damp garage . . . It took Caterham a few hours to find the problem. Believe the connector joints were remade and the whole lot wrapped in tape.
  4. BGH provide a mostly new 5-speed gearbox which is also much stronger, their latest design has improved lubrication and is easier to use. It was also a chance to improve the gear ratios. More strength means that the gear box is a not a weak link if the engine was more powerful. Massive
  5. Also interested in alternative 16 inch wheels Edited by - Chris Cardwell on 15 Aug 2013 19:20:26
  6. My steering wheel vibration was cured by changing . . . the engine mounts
  7. Also recommend . . . Watch Doctors in Tring - paid £200 for a full service and some new parts for a Rolex GMT Master type 1 Watch was service in 8 days.
  8. James Whiting ran the wire inside the roll bar. I am pleased with the upgrade from the initial rollbar to taller rollbar and the lght was fitted at the same time.
  9. I have the slim edition from Europa Car Spares. See reverse and fog lights The slim versions are consistent with the shape of the car which is rectangular at the rear. It does not make sense to fit something which is square and much larger than necessary.
  10. There is hope for customers of the future
  11. Roger I was hoping the windscreen also provided downforce as well acting as an air brake. You should be able to brake harder with more downforce The cheapest upgrade is to remove the windscreen
  12. Wishful thinking on my part. Perhaps a large gap along the bottom of the screen and tilted back towards the driver would help create downforce.
