  1. order done. Just submitted a list of low numbers, 002 until 009 (skipping 7 of course). looking forward to it already! and another big to Alex
  2. Survey done. Both designs look good, thanks for the work. I prefer the automatic, but would buy the other design if that's the only one which goes into production.
  3. Hi, Looking forward to see the designs! For me) 1) Yes, absolutely use the 7 if possible 2) If you ask people to choose between 1) Design 1 only, 2) Design 2 only, 3) Design 1 before design 2, 4) Design 2 before design 1, the numbers should decide if both designs or only one are produced? 3) Don't limit the number produced, as far as I'm concerned. New members should be able to get one.
  4. ok, think I have everything figured out, but not fixed yet. front Right-wing indicator automagically started working again left rear light the bulb was simply blown fog light: the female connector has a loose wire. Are these fixable? if so any tips? had the broom-on-the-pedal idea while scratching my head Off to the parts store for the replacement bulb (and some fuses since I blew one while testing 😳)
  5. Finally have some (unintended) free time on my hands so i thought I'd investigate the problem with my failing fog-light. I received this morning the invite to the technical checkup, so decided to check the other lights as well. - the fog light does not work - the left rear light does not work - the right front indicator on the wing does not work (but it's not the bulb, because I switched them over and still nothing) the rest seems fine but since I'm alone and no mirrors in the neighorhood, can't check the brake light and the fog light. Anyway, I've got a feeling there may be some underlying reason, but how do you go about "debugging" something like this.
  6. Are there different versions of the petty strut? I was offered one to fit this FIA bar: here But I have a 2001 S3, with a FIA bar (installed at build i I think). The part above explicitly mentions 2003 onwards, so I suppose it is different then mine, and therefore the petty strut also? Or are they by chance compatible?
  7. interested in the petty strut if Clive ends up not taking it
  8. Hi Neil, Question regarding the set of wheels I bought from you. Did you run these as one set of tires? Did you put the AO32 on the front and the AO48's at the back, or viceversa. What would you advise? thanks Marc
  9. @Grubbster, I guess I tried everything, but yes: the light in the dashboard switch does work. @sforshaw, thanks. Forgot to mention, the reverse light does work if that eliminates possibilities. aside: is this something for which you are kept off track? Was hoping to do a trackday next saturday, if it doesn't rain too much.
  10. I tried to mount the fog light that SM25T kindly brought over. What a pain to get to the bolts from the back! Also, the quality of the unit is not like the original one. The plastic which is meant to keep the nuts in place is not strong enough to actually keep them in place and is completely in the way if you want to keep them in place yourself using a tool. But I got it in place finally, but that's not the problem: The light still doesn't work ☹️ There was a short-circuit when the original failed and the fuse blew. I replaced it, but the light does not work. The light on the dash works, and that stays off when I take out the fuse. I've measured the voltage accross the leads inside the fog light, but nothing. Any hints on diagnosing the problem? One complication: when I imported the car from UK, I remember we had to switch the fog & reverse lights, but I don't remember how we did the rewiring, I think we added a wire from one side to the other, but it was getting to dark to see it now.
  11. Hi, Did you have any trouble getting the original lenses off. Tried mine just now, undid the two screws but the lens won't budge. Didn't apply full force as I was affraid to break something. Is there a trick? tnx

    4x 14" wheels

I found a set for sale via the archives, from Neil_K. Perfect for a spare set, price is fine, even has tyres on them and Ian can collect. So thanks for offering Laddie, but seems best to go for Neil's set!
