  1. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/16418019 I must say the listing is a bit "off" given it is a Road-Sport according the the plaque on the dash (of which they have photos). Hopefully the car finds a new home soon (and so stops me pining for it). Andrew
  2. Best of luck and Martin is probably your best bet. As far as I could tell, the 1.6K was not called a Roadsport until 1999 (from my Chris Rees book again), how important is it that the car is "as it was supplied"? (Updated to say that I checked in the book for race cars, it does not say much more that you already know about the 1.6K cars which had to be in "roadsport" specification, i.e. with windscreen, etc.)
  3. If you are talking about the limited edition run-out model, there is information in the Chris Rees book The Magnificent Seven - I have already posted a photo of the page on a "for sale" thread (not sure if you are looking at the same car). Removed photo of the page, given there is a link, and you have confirmed you are looking at a different car.
  4. 128bhp @ 7,400rpm according to both my Chris Rees books.
  5. PT Sports Cars usually have something available if nobody in the club is looking to sell and there's nothing suitable when you contact the various dealers, etc. who advertise with the club. An example from PT is https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/15061510
  6. There's a car for sale "here" which might be worth looking at: https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/forums/topic/274346-1996-roadsport-special-edition-number-19-of-30 I mention it because it's one I would look at if I were in your position (lucky bloke). Andrew
  7. When I am eventually in a position to get another Seven, I'm tempted to get a 170 and am interested if anyone has experience of increasing the power output of the engine? I found this link: https://www.br-performance.be/en-be/chiptuning/1-cars/10681-caterham/10975-seven/11301-2014/14209-seven-170-r-s-0-66-t/?stage=13393 Seems to be a similar outcome to what was achieved for the 160 when Caterham made the limited edition Super Sprint (which is of only marginal interest to me, I'm not that into the retro-theme).
  8. Thanks Stu, just seeing if works for Android too. However it doesn't seem to 😕
  9. What is interesting is that there are a lot more text formatting options when using my laptop (compared to using my phone), but it still does not allow me to do paragraphs which are not "double spaced". However, you can use a list to get a more compact format (provided you are OK with using bullets or numbers). Line After line After line I'm going to see if there any other options to improve the editing experience.
  10. I'm assuming you are talking about how paragraphs of text are spaced, rather than the spacing between lines of text within a paragraph. So, when you have a long list of short lines (such as a route) it doesn't look like you were expecting.
  11. How were you trying to edit and in what way were you refused the option (screenshot if possible). Can you also say which forum topic? Edited to confirm editing is possible just after posting. Also possible for a post made yesterday... Andrew
  12. As Ian suggested, did you want the post moved to For Sale?
  13. Hi Jonathan, Do you mean like this thread? https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/forums/topic/273938-new-website-feedback-and-ideas Andrew
  14. Hi Stephen, I'm not sure which content you mean, but you can "follow" topics, etc. and then see the list you are following here: https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/followed/ Andrew
  15. Sounds like a lovely car, always fancied one of the last 1.4K Sevens as they are meant to be very sweet handling with just enough power to be enjoyed on the road. Not that I'm in a position to make an offer, but would be nice to know roughly where in the country the car's located 🙂
  16. A bit of a nerd question here, but there seem to be at least two engine codes used for Suzuki three-pot chassis numbers: Z2 - which is listed in the FAQ for what chassis numbers mean Z3 - which is not listed, but seems to be used for a mix of 160, Sprint and SuperSprint chassis numbers I'm guessing that the code might be date related (so cars before 2018 had Z2 and those after had Z3), but that is an assumption on my part based on a very limited set of data. Is anyone with a 160, Sprint, SuperSprint or 170 able to provide some clues as to whether there was ever a Z1 code, if there is something else used in addition to Z2 and Z3? Thanks, Andrew
  17. As per Simon's reply, if there is something important you need it is possible to get it, but only if there is no other way to find the information out. Andrew
  18. Just to say that the a small circle of black insulating tape was the solution I used for the same problem (not sure if Jack remembers that...) Andrew
  19. If you roll the car backwards or forwards on the ground, does the propshaft turn? If you jack up both rear wheels I think you can check the diff is working by turning one wheel by hand (to see if the other wheel rotates). With both wheels off the ground and the engine running, can you try putting the car in each of the gears (including reverse) to see if the propshaft turns? Best bet would be to see if any of your local area members are able to pop by to give you a hand / second opinion...
  20. According to my Chris Rees book, the Superlight R300 was produced in Duratec form between 2009 and 2012 (45 examples).
  21. Or, if you want to check things very quickly yourself (before contacting Martin), then try this guide: Chassis Numbers - what do they mean? The guide could do with a bit of an updated to cover later cars, but for older ones it should be good.
