    Lotus 7 S1

Suggest you contact GP Sevens - they divide their website into SV S3 , and Classics , Pistonheads have a couple for sale currently
  3. Thanks for all your hard work , hope your great car is going well
  4. Hi all Recently had a new Caterham oil pressure guage ( the sender ) fitted , new one usually fine but when driving in very wet condition ( to Harewood two weeks ago ) , it sometimes stuck on nothing and then back to life. Anyone else ever seen this any thoughts ? , I can ask Kenricks to fit another new one at next service under warranty , but does the sender need sealing instead ? its very exposed to the elements it seems ?

    S3 Half-hood

Suggest try Soft Bits if not sorted I have an Academy FIA Cage ( two bars front to rear at side plus a single diagonal ) I bought a half hood from SB4S with dual easy in zips as my full hood no longer works with my side bars Warning in really heavy rain , recent Prescott competition on way there , the zips dripped alot And you will get spray on the inside of windscreen ! but it was a total monsoon , I had to go onto hard shoulder of M5 and drive through 5 inches of water at 10mph , crept into Gloucester services feeling lucky I was not mowed down by HGV's , many cars diverted onto hard shoulder so bad was it , I felt lucky I had high intensity high level rear brake lights fitted Buying a trailer came to mind ( LOL )
  6. Thanks Andy , hope you are well , see you at Anglesey 1st ? , I am a Loton Park 23/24 September as well
  7. Hello all Members may not know that it is possible to check the provenance of your prospective purchase. If you provide Martin Phipps at Caterham the chassis number and engine number of your intended purchase he can advise you whether it left the factory as the same specification as what you are buying. If you are keen to purchase a car that has a particular provenance and not a vehicle that was later upgraded without advance pre purchase knowledge that the vehicle was later upgraded then this may be of value.
  8. Hello Andrew Firstly thanks ! Yes I saw that .........I think I am happy to spend £30 on one that I know works , as if I make it , it probably won't !
  9. I would not worry I ran an Impreza Spec C with 445BHP at Anglesey on a track day after spending £250 on fuel and many hard laps the too hot diff light came on , a tiny weep from the nipple allowed brake fluid dripped onto the front discs , smoke rose. I gave it a break , the diff cooled , I went back on to dice again , and drove home and put a new set of Toyo Proxes 888Rs on the car As others have said a diff that is too hot to touch with bare skin is not unusual You might though want to change the diff oil yearly , assuming its not a sealed unit
  10. Hi All I have a timing strut that is drilled through my number plate its not ideal as the plate is velcroed on Caterham are out of stock of the timing struct that fixes to the nose cone. Anyone given up hill climbing who has one for sale or knows where I might get a Caterham one please let me know. Cheers Sean
  11. Hi all Newly joined as a member , but I am an experienced hillclimb competitor , local to Loton Park , I compete a Superlight R400 K Can anyone tell me how you register for the 2023 championships ? I can see the 2023 dates & venues in the event calendar , but none appear open to apply yet why ? Also how many events do you need to do ? as a minimum , I cannot see ? Going to Wiscombe or Goodwood with my Tillet seats is a drive way too far but I plan to compete in events up to 2 hours or so from Oswestry Any advice greatfully received Thanks , Sean
  12. Hi Tony Hope you are well , is this going to work with my full cage ? I think you are talking about the device that prevents top of the seat ( mine are tilletts full carbon ) being pushed back mail me a picture at sean_toms@robinson-toms.com or give me me a call on 07836 733448 I hope you sold your 620R saw it on PH Cheers Sean
