  1. Yes! Getting excited John (@graearea) and I are off to the Bilster Berg on the Tuesday before, so a fun week… --Mark
  2. Can't tell you the history, but I do know the garage (I get my R400 serviced there) and Callum is a smashing fella. https://www.turn7.co.uk/product-page/caterham-310-r Just spotted this slightly more subdued colour, 310 SV, on there too… https://www.turn7.co.uk/product-page/caterham-310r-sv --Mark
  3. No foam cutting required. The speakers just sit with their Velcro on top of the foam nicely. There's plenty of room from there to your ears. It was just a bit of cutting of the red "spacer" section. I filed the inner grey bit down by only a mm or two for the boom, just so I could position it a little better.
  4. I've not tested it in the car yet, but wandering around the house it works great I love how you can set a speed dial from your contacts, and a double press of a button calls it. Have tested that out with calling the wife, and it works well. Tested music and podcasts too - all good. The "interface" (buttons) for Cardo work well. Once one has remembered the combinations of one or two presses and stops calling the wife when one meant to use Siri
  5. Nic, you're a genius! Ordered some bits off Amazon this week — Cardo Freecom 2x (single; the wife refuses to join me in the Caterham ) for £160, and some 3M Peltor Optime III Earmuffs for £23. I bit of drilling, cutting and filing this morning, et voila! Very happy with the relatively cheap solution
  6. Did the boom come with the Cardo intercom too Nic? Nice job on the Peltor mods
  7. Ha! Brilliant! I think I just found the same place
  8. Did you buy directly from Stihl 7up, or find them for a better price somewhere online?
  9. Excellent! We shall have to arrange which car park to meet in (I went in the smaller one, to the right, last year — it was a bit quieter). @ptr_drvr — you sure you can't make the May 5th date?
  10. You'll have to report on the Circuit Days outing gents. I'll be keen to hear what you think of it, as it's so much cheaper than DN's days it could be far better value for future trips.
  11. Nice one Jonathan! Thank you as ever
  12. I installed Zello to test it out David, but had no mates to test it with. So didn't I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has used it successfully…
  13. I haven't thought about the route, properly, yet John. I was contemplating a split of some camping (weather pending in May ) and the odd reasonably priced hotel. I'm not working at the moment, so would like to be a little price sensitive. As a possibly comical aside - when I had my car mapped I said "it must run on ordinary fuel". There's no way I'm permanently feeding the Cat super
  14. Gah, shame chaps. I'm contemplating a road trip - to the alps - afterwards Pete. If you're around at all the week after the 5th I could route via Munich…
  15. #8 — thanks for the confirmation Tim. Urg, that sounds like a faff. Sufficient that I won't bother with LoT then. I have the rollbar with the double cross beams, so the 'track day' roll bar? I've not had any issues with that anywhere, and I've done more than a dozen track days in the last couple of years, including the Nurburgring.
  16. Forgive my ignorance, but what's a petty strut?
  17. The price has gone up 100 quid since last year Mind, everything has gone up. The hotel I use is up 30% on 2022 prices, and it's probably best we don't discuss petrol prices eh. I spent ages last night trying to weigh up doing the Hull to Rotterdam ferry (at 700 flippin' quid) versus driving from Yorkshire to the Chunnel for a meagre 484 quid fare. Still haven't decided on that one. The DNevent Nords day is so well organised that yes, I'm sticking with what I know. They have a very good reputation. Plus I have friends who go every year. Sell a few more pedal mods John! Should cover the difference for a quality outing I've booked the GT3 Hotel for the 4th and 5th. I may yet do a blat down t' Alps or Dolomites afterwards. Will see about that.
  18. And DNevents too. I have booked. So, I will be heading to the Nords for DNevents' Friday May 5th 2023 event. I have also booked onto the track walk the evening before (I missed it this year and really want to do it). If you're interested in coming along too, book yourself on the DNevents session and drop a note back here in the thread. I will drive over, and if others are interested I don't mind 'herding the cats' — sharing routes, hotels, etc. You will be responsible for booking everything yourself, but I don't have a problem with information sharing, and if we end up driving over together, navigating. The only thing I want to avoid is being a hotel booker for everybody, because it's a lot of responsibility I don't want to take on (being candid )
  19. I think DN will announce their 2023 dates in December, so I'll be keeping a look out for those. --Mark
  20. Another positive review here. I bought a set from Jason back in the summer, and found them to be a fantastic addition to the car.

    Throttle Bodies

There was a big discussion about ITBs a while ago. You might find something useful in this thread?
  22. You're getting into drifting?
  23. No need these days, they know which way up they are and automatically right the image Over time GoPros have got more and more rubbish though. They can be terribly unreliable. My 8 freezes every now and then for no apparent reason. The 9s were supposed to be total dogs, and the 10s overheat. Albeit not sat on a roll over bar in the wind If the DJI Action 2 did GPS I would ditch GoPro in an instant.
