To put my physics hat on. I would imagine that whilst a 4 piston caliper has more volume than a 2, that the volume is not being emptied (at least only a very small amount) and refilled at every application of the brake. Therefore the main factor on braking is the amount of pressure that can be applied via foot, lever and master cylinder properties Cheers Craig

Am seriously thinking of lowering the floor. As it is right now, I find the normal leather seat very comfortable. After lowering, will the seat stilll be just as comfy? Cheers Craig

Scary thing for us marshalls, was watching when Steve (marshall) got hit by the car. If you look carefully, before and after, you can see that it ripped his jacket. Other than a bit of bruising, and some shock, he was fine and back with us a few weeks later. Miracle was that no one got hurt, except some pockets. 2.8 million worth of damage I was told, and so much carbon fibre all over the place.. like 50 pound notes scattered. Had a chat with a driver, and he said he was aquaplaning at 30 mph on those slicks. Cheers Craig

So is it fair to say that grippier tyres give less warning when they let go? Therefore is the best advice to start on something less grippy and learn the car/conditions/level of driver talent etc? Cheers Craig

Thanks folks, As there was no sound from the diff when driving, and it doesn't sound too serious, I decided to buy the car Thanks for the help - should have it in a week or two, so hopefully get a chance to drive it a little before there's too much salt about Cheers Craig

Went to look at a 1.6K supersport today. (which would be my first 7) The car looked really good, virtually perfect condition, though one thing I noticed was a drip of oil on the diff and a small mark where this had been clearly wiped up from the garage floor. Is this something to be concerned about, and if so, what would the recommendations be to resolve it? Cheers Craig
