  1. Southam tyres fitted 4 for me for. 40 quid
  2. Nice one folks, will leave it for a winter project... however, I think I'll need to replace brake fluid, but that's another story
  3. Looking for opinions..... Car has done 1000 miles and 125 track miles since last oil change. I have an apollo tank fitted btw
  4. Thanks for the thread folks, just fitted mine and this answered all the issues I came up against 😶‍🌫️
  5. Thanks All. Will most likely use the masking tape/dremel approach once exhaust arrives
  6. If it's not a silly question, how did you cut the holes? What tools would I need?
  7. I bent the pedal, and used a bit of heat to soften it up, which worked pretty well. Actually just staightening the pedal was most effective, as it's pretty close anyways, and it in the right place when the barke is depressed. As a side benefit, it a more comfy position to have the accelerator further back for me when touring.
  8. My car has the classic green with yellow stripe, and wondered if anyone know what's the best touch up paint for both? Cheers Craig
  9. So I wondered whether there are any other factors in the lifetime of brake fluid, other than water contamination? Cheers Craig
  10. I bought one of the brake fluid testers, which tests for water levels in the fluid. My intention is to use this technique, and only replace the brake fluid when it's water level gets too high. Should there be any other considerations as to when to repalce the brake fluid? Cheers Craig
  11. Yes, checked that, it is actually the face coming away from the gauge... I suspect the person who built it tightened the thumb screws too tight, and that was the cause over time. Sounds like a superglue job. Cheers Craig
  12. During the fantastic day at Dunsfold last Sunday, I noticed my fuel gauge had started to come loose. It looks like the face is coming away from the body of the gauge, Has anyone seen this? and have an easy fix? Cheers Craig
  13. Indeed just like those. Current are 6" I think. I assume this is right for the 185 wide tyres. If using bigger wheels, like 7", would I need different tyr dimensions. Is there somewhere where it's easy to see at a glance which size tye vs wheel diameter? Cheers Craig
  14. Does anyone know where is a good place to buy four 13" black minilites, and rough cost? Cheers Craig

Used card and cloth, and let it dry first. Cheers Craig

    Langka

Used this for years on my classic 911 before I sold it. Just follow the instructions, rub gently. It's a bit of a knack but really easy once you are used to it

    Mintex pads

Standard brakes all round, and the car stops pretty well, it doesn't feel like I have a problem

I get a lot of brake dust on the rears. Is that normal? I would expect to see more front bias

Am thinking of installing these too. Was it just a straight swap? Where did you get them from? Cheers Craig
  20. Eugene, where did you get the 70 profiles from?
  21. and.. they are Avon CR322s... Car will be used for touring, local blats with 2 or 3 trackdays/year opinions sought Cheers Craig
  22. Used them on my porsche 964 before I sold it, for the last 4 years or so, and found them to be excellent. Currently have the avon cr322s, and the t1-rs are a fair bit softer, though not as soft as a yoko A21
  23. I did a fair bit of touring in my old 964, UK and france, and never had to put 95 in. Cheers Craig
  24. The big hose which returns the hot water to radiator is looking perished in places, especially around the jubilee clips. I can post pics somewhere if needed, and was wondering if this is normal, or time to change the hose? Car is 4 years old. Cheers Craig
  25. I have a half hood from sbf7s, and it could do with a good clean. Any tips and tricks for doing this? Cheers Craig
