  1. I replaced mine with this from Burton and is great but a bit tricky calculating the spacers. I put a hole in the top of the bellhousing for bleeding pipe and made a plate up to cover the side where the arm normally goes with for tapped holes in the bell housing for caphead screws. I got custom hoses made up at Merlin Motorsport as the normal ones from Burton didn't come with a banjo connector for the girling master cyclinder I also got from Burton. https://www.burtonpower.com/hydraulic-clutch-cylinder-nose-apc5.html
  2. Got one of these from Redline and seems to do the job fine.
  3. You could purchase parallels from the App Store, that will allow you to run a virtual Windows 11 machine on your MacBook. Since Apple moved to ARM processors it is the only way as Microsoft OEM license ARM operating systems. The old boot camp methods can’t work unlike the old Intel MacBooks.
  4. I have a new Raceco exhaust silcence to replace my Techcraft and had a custom bracket for the Techcraft. Is this the correct bracket for mounting the Raceco? The exhaust is left hand side. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/mounts-gaskets/1077-exhaust-mounting-bracket.html
  5. I use serial ports a lot working in IT configuring network equipment, if you know what you are doing with a RJ45 to DB9 adapter, get an airconsole you can connect via Bluetooth or WiFi and saves being attached to a cable. https://www.get-console.com/shop/en/27-airconsole
  6. I spoke to Mike last week as I placed an order over christmas, he was only holiday but got the impression he is back this week.
  7. I would go into Device Manager on Windows and have a look under "Ports (COM & LPT)", make sure the adapter is being seen correctly. If you right click it into properties check the device status. You will also find if you use a different USB port on your laptop the COM port number will change. Also check on the Emerald ECU you are connecting to the comm port as there are two that look the same and aren't.
  8. Can't wait was an impressive turnout this year and very enjoyable.
  9. Agree absolutely great day.....until my start motor went after lunch! Only upside was getting in the air conditioning sooner. The track really showed how the cars handle and now have a few thoughts about what to tweak over the winter. Look forward to doing it again at some point.
  10. I will be, be there 9ish. just repacked car after donnington to include the gazebo.
  11. Start full, if anything by lunch you will be going quicker with less weight.
  12. Cheers Nigel, only one way now to definitely know. I'm hoping it will reduce the noise a bit more as it a bit bigger than the techcraft one I have fitted.
  13. Has anyone fitted a Raceco silencer to a BDR? Trying to work out if the central inlet will work rather than side inlet without a major change to the angle the primaries come out at into the 4-to-1.
  14. I have a document Roger King supplied during a rebuild in 1995 and it says idle speed is 1000 rpm.
  15. It a Square-Cut Syncromesh H pattern type 9.
  16. Just looking at new oil now I have the gearbox back from Quaife after a service, they recommended using a fully synthetic GL3 or GL4 but not a GL5. Does anyone use Fuchs TITAN SINTOFLUID SAE 75W-80? If so what are your thoughts or anyone recommend anything else? I used to run a Mobile 1 but it has been 13 years since I last refilled it and oils seems to have changed a bit since then.
  17. Looking forward to another summer of fun, see you all there.
  18. Price is each, but with my setup I can't get to the grub screw so it was a must without changing mirrors.
  19. Not the cheapest solution, but I found this is great and stops them coming loose and moves the buttom grub screw to a spanner bit that is easily reachable. https://parts.dpr-motorsport.com/contents/en-uk/p107
  20. If you get stuck on where to put an oil catch tank, I good a bicycle drinks holder and bolted it to the end of the footwell close to the tunnel and adapted a Karrimor aluminum drinks bottle. (Ignore the oil pipe from the tank to catch and from block they are back to front in this picture and since adjusted) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1o0BDFf4U2RXLpw02jBbZVub57kbEJJP0/view?usp=sharing My oil filter is under my throttle bodies on a 5mm square of aluminum that is riveted to the top of the chassis and allows easy access from under the car. Check the direction of the flow on the bracket as the wrong way round you will struggle with a tight hose against the engine mount from the flow from the pump to the filter.
  21. Thinking about my drive to Cadwell Park for the May track day (over 3 hour drive) and I'm thinking I might be better staying local the night before. Can anyone recommend something secure and local?
  22. Just did a last minute book, see you there.
