  1. I taped up about 2" above the bottom rails and sprayed Dinitrol, along them and sprayed in the rot trap areas using a pipe connected to the spray can. I then added additional silver tape where the side panels meet the foot wells.
  2. @ 7 Wonders, yes I did as you suggested and did help. Thanks. @ ChrisC, I have been looking through the manual and blogs, and I think we both may have connected the oil pipes incorrectly. As the outbound oil pipe from the sump should go to the off-side of the oil cooler and the near-side connects goes to the dry sump tank. See the diagram below, can you confirm which way you have done this and if this was picked up in your PBC?
  3. I know that it's recommended to apply foam or a yoga mat to the inside of the rear arches to prevent star chip from stones, is this also recommended for the carbon front arches?
  4. Thanks Chris, I hadn't even thought about that. Any recommendations of which make to purchase?
  5. Does anyone have a guide how to align the headlights on metric S3?

    Ride height

So I have tried to adjust my dampers to the length mentioned above only to realise that those measurement are for the "Road" dampers, as I have the "Track" dampers, does anyone have the measurement for these?
  7. Thanks for all the feedback, I have routed the pipe as suggested. However I still have the kink and now an additional one too, which can be seen in the second photo. I have email CC asking for a replacement as I believe this pipe might be shorter than expected.
  8. Could someone please confirm if I have routed the pipe from the dry sump to the oil cooler correctly? There appears to a silent dent in the pipe as can be seen in the first photo, or will this pop out once the pipe is warms up?

Thank you Graham, this was the exact info I was looking for

    Ride height

I'm about to lower my car onto the ground for the first time and would like to set the ride height. Can anyone let me know what length of the coil between the collars should be on each unloaded Bilstein shock? I'm looking to do this as a starting point and I know this will have to setup correctly afterwards.
  11. Mine is very tight too and could stay in place without the Velcro, I've installed it as is.

    BANNER BATTERY

    David, where are you based?
  13. I had this problem on the driver's side, it was the bolts that hold the runners to the floor hitting the bolts holding the runners to the seat. I ended up cutting the bolts that hold the runners to the floor down.
  14. I partially ceramic coated mine, as the part in the engine bay always discolours first and to aid with the heat.
  15. Depending on what type of seat you have, can you not tilt the seat backwards which would lower you in the car? I did this in my MX5 Supercup car to give me the clearance.
  16. I'm interested in the Carbon Half doors and Carbon Tonneau.
  17. Thanks all, I think I'll just remove them for the IVA as they will most likely come out very soon afterwards.
  18. I think I know the answer, but I thought I would ask first. I had to move the plenum off the shelf today and I noticed that one of the bungs looked to have a hole in it. I removed and filled it with water and I can confirm that it has a hole. Should it have a hole in it?
  19. Does anyone know if it's a requirement for the mats to be secured with the press studs for the IVA test?
  20. Lidl are selling oil pumps if you're looking to change your oil and you have dry sump tank. https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/p/car-care/ultimate-speed-12v-oil-pump/p41173
  21. I really don't understand what clearance they are referring to. I do agree with you regarding the prop angle as that is still a concern of mine, did you order this or did Caterham just send it to you?
  22. Thanks Geoff, I'll keep that in mind when I fit my RB.
  23. I did see your blog where you used the tinfoil, which was why I put the bonnet on to check this. However, I didn't take into account that the nose cone would raise it. I wasn't aware of any new gearbox spacer, could you please elaborate on this new spacer?
