  1. To the assembled founts of all knowledge on matters Caterham. Last year I fitted a buzzer, wired through the dash indicator switch to my 2010 K series 1600 Classic, simple enough job, the central live feed on the switch to one side of the buzzer, the other buzzer wire to earth and it worked perfectly. Now I thought I would replace the buzzer with a dash mounted warning light by simply disconnecting the two terminals of the buzzer and connecting the light. This is where the problem started . When you turn on the ignition before selecting one or other indicator position there is a buzzing sound from the bottom relay in the fuse box and the warning light only glows slightly . When you select either left or right the light works perfectly and the buzzing stops . Turn the indicators off and the buzzing starts again. One other point which has always been like this since day 1, as you turn on the hazard warning switch, the same relay buzzes until the switch is fully engaged and then all indicators work perfectly and no buzzing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Is it me or the relay or what Cheers Bill
  2. Hi Alan, they all seem to do this reading other posts. My 2010 new build drips a tiny amount after each blat from the gear box / shaft oil seal. 🙆🏻 I know it's really annoying after you take such care building it up, but personally I'm leaving it for the time being and may consider a fix during the winter. I just want to drive it now. If you do go to CC, I'd be interested to hear their response. Bill
  3. I take it the fuse is OK. I had the hand brake cable rub through the cable outer which blew fuse after fuse until I spotted it.
  4. I've had an ongoing problem with the fuse for the brake lights/reversing light blowing. Standing in the garage ticking over - no problem, but during a run it will have fused at some stage. Followed all the threads re dodgy bulbs, reversing light switch brake light switch in contact with clutch pedal clevis etc. but no joy. So checked the wiring and discovered that when CCM did the post build last year they relocated the handbrake cable with P clips trapping the brake wiring on the near side being between the handbrake cable and the chassis resulting in the tiniest abrasion but obviousy bad enough 😔 Anyway now solved and legal again 😬 but something else worth checking if you have a similar problem. Bill
  5. Hi Stu, Your'e welcome to come round and measure up mine if that helps Bill
  6. Kit started in May 2010 only to find engine had to go back to CC with cracked liner. It was then I first noticed brake fluid coming from behind the dust seals on both calps ☹️. It took 3 new offside units before it was leak free and I am now fitting my 5th nearside unit to replace the one C Mids fitted before the IVA in Oct. All have been leaking from the piston seals. I know of one other with this prob and I'm curious how many others have had the same with kits supplied this year.
