  1. Hi John, It’s awful timing as I’m currently overseas until Sat 28 Oct. If you’re happy to wait until I’m back then I can get them out of storage for you.
  2. Excellent condition all round. Fitted with Avon ZZR tyres with limited tread remaining (see pictures) located in Bicester, Oxfordshire. £750
  3. Hi all, I'm looking to replace one of my wheels and I need the following: One 8" x 13" 8 spoke (rear) I'm based in Oxfordshire and willing to travel to collect. I would take a full set if available and I have cash. I will also consider any condition / colour as long as they aren't beyond refurbishment. Regards,
  4. Hi Keith, I'm interested in this... I'm in Oxfordshire, whereabouts in Notts are you?
  5. The CC supplied Draper tool kit is often on sale, over 40% off last year, at that price I’d say it was reasonable value. I’ve used it a fair amount and so far I have no complaints.
  6. Mike, Will this crank a 2.0l Duratec alright? If so I'll take it off you.
  7. Hey, that wiring in your picture is the immobiliser antenna. It senses the fob then lets you start the engine. That looks ok, however some cars have had an intermittent problem similar to what you have described... it was caused by the immobiliser box vibrating with engine revs and cutting power/electrics. Have a look under the dash for a small black box and see if it’s a bit loose or cuts the power when you tap or move it.
  8. Hi Jonathan, Please can I order 2 x cannister and 2 x black roll.
  9. Cheers for the reply John, thanks for confirming that this is the correct part... The cynic in me thought that the last person to fit this one just pulled something that fitted out of the parts bin. On a related note, I’m interested in braided fuel hose options, but not sure if there are any kits available. My R500 has a T-piece fitted on the end of the tank hose to a fuel pressure regulator on one side, then the fuel filter on the other. All the braided fuel hoses I’ve seen are a single line that would run from the tank directly to the filter, so I guess this wouldn’t be suitable. Are these only available for race bag tanks?
  10. Hi all, can anyone confirm which fuel filter I need for a 2009 R500 Duratec? I’m going to replace some fluids and filters before the Spring/Summer. This is what I’ve taken off the car today but I think it might be from a rover engined car, it appears to be a MANN fuel filter part number: WK612/2

    Decat pipe

Ah ok, thanks for clarifying. I suspect it’s not a known problem with the Duratec powered cars.

    Decat pipe

Thanks for the quick reply, I’ll try and work out what the cost would be just to get my headers done, as I don’t mind the polished bypass pipe and muffler (which aren’t that much of a pain to polish using Autosol metal polish). Another question though; what’s “K click”?

    Decat pipe

I’m keen to look into this option in the future, please can you post up some pictures and details when it’s done? I have a few questions? Where in Abingdon are you getting it done? Is this the same as ceramic coating? What colour finish did you go for? Are your headers new? If not is there any prep needed? Are they counting the inside as well as the outside? How much is it costing you to get the headers done if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks in advance,
  14. Thanks guys, I’ve replaced all the dual lock and the pad now fits securely to the steering wheel.
  15. Can anyone help me with refitting the pad on my Momo steering wheel? I have tried to find some replacement fittings but have no idea what the material in the picture below is called: This one is in ok condition but the others have come off and are brittle and don’t connect to each other any more. As you can see it’s applied to the steering wheel with some adhesive and some identical material is fitted to the back of the pad. I’m open to using alternative methods if it’s worked for other people, but I want to keep the pad as I have indicator buttons and this pad hides the wiring. I’ve tried heavy duty Velcro but it’s not great. The pad does not actually fit flush, mainly because of the buttons and wiring, the original interlocking pin type material actually does a good job, but just needs fresh pieces to be secured to both parts.

    Wheels for sale

Hi Ant, Are these the Superlight wheels? Could you send me some pictures? I live not far away and could collect with cash if they are in reasonable condition.
  17. Here are a couple of pictures of the Stack dash out of the car. As I couldn’t find any useful pictures of the back of the unit these might help someone in the future. The four bolts protruding out of the lower corners of the unit are secured to two brackets using 5.5mm nuts. As explained earlier in the thread once everything is undone the unit still fits securely between the steering column and the top of the scuttle. Some gentle persuasion and pressure from behind the unit will free it and it will slide out of the dash towards the drivers seat.
  18. Thanks Jonathan, I was hoping that someone had some pictures, as these pain a thousand words. I’ll take some as and when I get my unit out, then post them for others to refer to if needed.
  19. Hey everyone, I’m also looking to get my Stack dash serviced and re-flashed by 213 Performance... could anyone help me with a guide on how to remove it from the car? Cheers!
  20. Thanks for looking into this Jonathan... My car currently has a Banner battery fitted, although I can’t get you the current spec as I’m out of the country at present but will be able to look soon. The car is a 2009 R500 Duratec however I’m not the first owner, I purchased it in September 2017 from Caterham as an approved used Seven. If there are any recommended batteries for a reasonable price I’d consider swapping to something lighter in mass, just so long as it is a suitable spec and can be securely held in place.
  21. What do people make of this product: http://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/ultrabatt-lithium-battery-728-grams.html I couldn’t see any technical data for the battery. Jonathan, could you advise on what Ah battery one would need for a 2.0l Duratec fitted with a isolator/battery master switch? Occasional weekend/dry weather use, currently stored in the garage over the winter and fired up for a short run up to temp about once a month. Kind regards,
