  1. Can I be added to the reserve list for Cadwell please? My calendar has freed up and I'm hoping I can get a ticket for it.
  2. Bob - Could I get a copy of that mail too? I'll blatmail you so you have a return address. I'm just about to ditch my Banner for a PV25 too.
  3. I actually picked up a set from Catastrada for my R400 (09 Duratec) and didn't have any issues - sorry but I don't remember the offsets from the top of my head. Just one thing though, when your tyre fitter balances the rear wheels, ensure they mount the weights towards the face of the wheel, I'd say at least 2.5 inches outboard from the inner edge or just as close to the back of the spokes as they can. If the weights are set too close too the inner edge the weights can foul against the de dion ears. No issues with the front brakes no issues. As far as tyres go I ran 175 fronts and 200 rears which had no problems with clearance against wing stays etc either.
  4. Thanks guys it's looking like a smaller ET is needed. Rob - I've got the standard wingstays (non-CSR) and they look different so the clearance may be different. I'd rather avoid bending the wing stays and get the correct size if possible, but out of curiosity where do the wing stays need to be bent, wouldn't bending them mean the wings tops no longer be level? Castrada - If I opt to bend the wing stays how much would you want for the wheels (postage to London) and what colour are they?
  5. No worries, thanks for the blat. Managed to get over those speed humps ok with your two up two down technique! Thanks for the draught reducer. Hope to get out for another blat sometime soon or I'll catch you at one of the monthly meets soon.
  6. As the subject suggests. Searching BC I've noticed a range for the offset is ET18-20 for 7" wheels, but doesn't mention if this is for the standard front calipers or for the uprated calipers. I've got the big front AP brake calipers that come with an R400 and wanted to confirm if anyone has a set of 7" front CXR's on these and what offset they're running.
  7. Hand goes up for second dibs if it doesn't fit the 21
  8. Hi Simon, What model or size are the spare wheels? I could be interested in taking those off your hands. Cheers, Ben Edited by - Ben Fung on 31 Aug 2011 11:00:00
  9. Steve, Edited to say - Oops, just reread and realised there's a provisional sale agreed. Cheers, Ben Edited by - Ben Fung on 26 Aug 2011 14:58:07 Edited by - Ben Fung on 26 Aug 2011 14:58:59
  10. Simon YHBM re the extra set of wheels
  11. Dan, could you drop me a line after the sale if both sets of wheels aren't taken by the purchaser? Good luck with sale in the meantime though.
  12. If the dark colour was black and gold, that would have been me navigating the lake that always seems to have pooled into the intersection when it rains at the Stoop. Provides amusement for the punters
  13. Yeah it is a bit odd but they do sell entry tickets and grandstand tickets separately. It's just that we're now going with a few more friends now who haven't got grandstand tickets. Just wanted to see if someone else wanted the grandstand tickets but was unable to get them so they could get tickets and we could recoup the cost of them.
  14. If you're off to Goodwood tomorrow and are after grandstand tickets I have two available for the startline @ £50 each. They can be collected from central London this evening or at Goodwood tomorrow. PLEASE NOTE - These are grandstand tickets only you do need to have general entry tickets to get in first. Cheers, Ben
  15. On behalf of a mate (non-BC'er) Please use eBay if you want to contact him. eBay linky thingy
  16. Looks like I'll be resorting to the trusty screwdriver. Not sure how you guys are getting a hand to the adjuster though, I've not exactly got frying pans for hands but theres no way I can get them in to turn the adjuster. Guess it'll be an exercise in patience this evening.
  17. I've got to change one of my rear calipers and was looking at removing the handbrake cable. Is there an easy way to rotate the nylon adjuster in order to slacken the cable off? There's no way to get a hand to it and I remember that during the build we used a screwdriver poking at the knurls on the nylon adjuster, rotating it an 1/8th of a turn each time to tighten it which was quite frustrating and took ages to get done. Hoping someone can come along and suggest an easier method to either rotate the adjuster or suggest an another method of removing the cable otherwise it's back to the trusty screwdriver...
  18. Went down to the garage on the w/e to find that the 7 had disgorged it's brake fluid all over the garage floor. I thought it was just a loose bleed nipple bit so armed with fresh brake fluid to sort it out this evening, closer inspection this showed that the fluid was leaking from the handbrake mechanism. Did a search and found this thread. ☹️ Hope they can get me a replacement in time for the weekend. For anyone elses knowledge I took delivery of my R400 in Oct last year and the caliper that leaked was the left rear after 1200 miles. 19. Yeah I'm usually there, I live just around the corner from where you parked so the local meet is indeed 'very' local for me. I've missed the last couple due to work committments but plan to be there next time round, come on down for some beers and say hello.
  20. I was taking the car back to the garage when I saw yours parked up. Walking back home after dropping the car off I stopped for a better at your aeroscreen setup (RiF one isn't it?) looking at trying it out myself so had a little snoop around 😬 Hope you didn't get caught out in the rain on the way back.
  21. Aero'd, parked up and looking good on Strathblaine Rd
