Thanks for that note, yes its a K series R500 Also just spoken to Powervamp themselves - they obviously can still supply the battery but have stopped selling cages and other accessories (they were taken over 18 months ago)

I will go and check the levels - the car is stored in my garage with the FIA switch turned off and out the car, the battery is also always on a conditioner as well. But this is my second banner in this car and the last one lasted around 3 years as well. So after only a couple of years my Banner Battery is giving up. the car sits in the garage on a maintenance charger. But had to leave it out last night (parking logistics) and went to start it and nothing. Had enough to light the dash up and on the stack it was reading 12v only. Got a bit of juice to it and once it got up to 12.5v it had enough to start. So it seems its on it way out. So my question is, what to replace it with? Do not fancy another Banner as they don't seem to last more that a couple of years. Thanks

I have my phone just where you suggested. I have a gopro mount stuck to the bulk head, on to a cuved gopro extention then to a phone mount with a gopro connector. So the phone sits right infront of the gear stick. I think (was a few years ago) I got it all from Amazon, just built up the sections. I will try and get a photo for you

So I love my aero and love it even more with half doors. I upgraded to a roadsport cage and wanted to put on side inpact protection - long story short, my R500 Chassis does not have the 3 point seat belt boss behind the seats that the inpact bars bolt to. So my problem is - with the cage, aero and half doors all on - I am struggling to get in. The only way is to go in through the cage at the top - but the plan was to step on the side protection, up on to the cage and in trough the top. But I am a bit short to get onto the cage. The side protection was going to be my step. Now I am thinking of how I can mount, maybe a hinge or other fixings to allow me to open the half door, get in normally and then 'shut' the half door. Any suggestions on fixings that might work easily from the seat?? thanks Nic

No boss on mine - Andy at S&Cs said the R500 never came with a boss for diagonal seat belts. But what I cannot understand is then if it was just a 'race' chassis why no boss for side protection??

SO I have a 2001 registered R500 number 19 so an early car I have a pair of side intrusion bars and have been told that they cannot be fitted to the R500 as the R500 chassis was never built with the facility to fit lap and diagonal seat-belts, and the location for them on a standard chassis is where the bars mount to. Is this right?? I have seen lots of other R cars with them Thanks

I have a Autocom Pro-M1 unit for sale, no headsets just the unit. It is powered by a 9v battery - but can be upgraded to be powered direct from the car (extra accesory needed from what I have read) £40 plus postage etc

I have the FIA kit in front of me now - no paperwork in there except for the the batch/job number which I guess is the packaging note (this is stuck to the eyebrow) and the Battery Switch diode in a seperate bag has SW903 on it Sorry!! thats all the numbers on it

Thats a good question - It was from when I had a Zetec car - I have no idea if there much difference (not considered that) I can send you photos if that helps
