  1. There's some on Ebay finishing just before 2pm today! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/caterham-Aeroscreen-Mounting-Brackets-/322249275375?hash=item4b078db7ef:g:D40AAOSwGtRXyXaP
  2. I have one you can try for size.
  3. I've got one in black, with a broken screen but no stanchions.
  4. Thanks for checking but that's not the one I need.
  5. Does anyone have either of the above hanging around in their garage? The MFRU has the part number YWB 10022. The mirrors are to go on my aero screen to get the car through an MOT, I've broken the glass one, so condition isn't too important. Thanks, Chris
  6. I only really need one but two would be perfect, ideally before next weekend! Caterham parts are showing out of stock.
  7. You're bang on Simon! The flats were under the gators. Jonathan, what's SOP? Start Of Production?
  8. I'm in the process of fitting a new steering rack from Caterham and there aren't any flats on the track rods to put a spanner on to adjust the tracking. Is this normal now, the old rack had them, or have they been forgotten? Is it ok to file my own on or will I create stress raisers on the rods? Cheers, Chris
  9. I'm considering my trailer options and I'm currently leaning towards a covered trailer. Does anyone have one they're no longer using? If so, I could be interested. Cheers, Chris
  10. Does anyone know if there's a 205 60 13 tyre in list 1A. I've been looking but it's a long, drawn out and tedious process! Cheers, Chris
  11. I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd ask before buying a new 8% from Caterham. Ideally I'd like a widetrack 22% but I'll consider anything. I'd like a reasonably new one with known history if possible rather than a tired old thing, I already have one of those! Cheers, Chris
  12. At the moment I just intend doing the L7C Curborough events so I can have a full novice season next year. One step at a time I'm afraid.
  13. Not really taking the plunge, just dipping a toe. Barely a week after the 'Intro' day and five days after saying I wouldn't be doing anything until next season because I'd got too much to sort out first. I've got petty and timing struts on their way, an FIA sticker for the roll bar, race suit and boots, a lightning bolt sticker to point at the ignition key, an MSA licence application in and I've entered both Curborough sprints. Have I forgotten anything? I'm simultaneously excited and apprehensive, I think all I need now are gloves and a massive injection of talent!!
  14. As the title says really but if it could get to the Manchester area from the next Yorkshire, West and Pennines meeting that would be brilliant! Thanks, Chris
  15. Is the petty strut still available and will it fit an imperial S3 chassis with a single diagonal roll bar? If yes to all then I'll take it please.
  16. I'm just specing up all the necessary parts to switch to a mechanical oil pressure gauge, including a low pressure switch, but I'm not sure if I already have a warning light. I've never noticed one! With the standard Caterham electrical OPG is it normal to have a low pressure warning light and if so where does it take it's signal from? It's a 1997 K series. Thanks, Chris
  17. All sorted now thanks Jemma. It's taken me a while but I've finally tested the roof at over 80 and the new poppers worked brilliantly. For anyone with similar issues, Thundersports sent me some 'one way' poppers FOC that, on the female side, have a 2mm wide band of steel on the inside of the popper that hooks under the bottom edge of the male side, attached to the screen frame. Therefore, no amount of pulling on the front lower edge of the roof will make the poppers let go. It meant replacing the poppers on both my full and half hoods and the male part around the screen but I now feel I can trust the roof to remain in place at any speed. I had two reasons for buying a Thundersport hood the main one being the style. I like the way the lower edge on the side of the hood lines up with the top of the window on the door. Anal I know but to me it just looks right. The second reason was they had them in stock and within a couple of days of ordering I'd received it. I'm very pleased with the quality too. Thanks for all your replies chaps. Cheers, Chris
  18. The hood is a new Thundersport half hood and was nice and tight with no flapping at all, until it went with a bang! Fortunately only the poppers on the passenger side let go so I could pull the now flapping hood back inside. When fitting it I have to stretch the hood from one popper to the next but the poppers do attach reasonably easily. Maybe I need new male poppers on the screen?
  19. Hi All, I've had my 7 for four weeks now, I'm using it as often as possible and loving it! This morning I tried the half hood for the first time, as it looks a bit wet later, only to find that at around 70mph the front unpoppered itself. Is this normal, is there a maximum recommended speed with a hood fitted? Cheers, Chris
