Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm selling the car, and whilst I have the doors they have never been fitted. I wanted to make sure that the new owner could fit them with no issues, but it looks like sticking with the existing mirrors (at least in the short term) could well be the best option.

I'm fitting doors to an a car that has never had them fitted previously, and so need to change from the stanchion mounted mirrors to door mounted mirrors.
