  1. This is why I like track days that have clear overtaking rules on straights on one side only and with the driver ahead indicating his or her intentions prior to any overtake happening. Nick
  2. Glynh Not heard of that before. I use both an Optimate on my R500D and a Ctek on my Porsche with no issues. The Ctek seems very advanced in its charging regime and I doubt it would upset a 360S electronics. Ctek conditioners are used on all sorts of exotic cars and I have not heard of them causing issues? Nick
  3. Only really saw Hedtec and Zamp at the show. Zamp are worth a look, SA2020 for <£500.
  4. I tried on a Hedtec at Autosport but later tried on a Bell GP3 at Merlin Motorsport and preferred the fit so went for one. Nick

  8. Look on Car Builder Solutions Website. They have some videos on Youtube that are useful. Switches come in two parts so you may only need the back bit as the front hasn't got much to go wrong. They are known as Savage switches, possibly manufactured by APEM? Nick

  10. If you read his question he wants to disconnect the wires without cutting, I did similar as I wanted to be able to retrofit the originals if so desired in the future. Looks like he has it sorted anyway. I already had some spare plates to save hacking off the reflectors too.
  11. They have a little barb that needs pushing with a small screwdriver while pulling the wire out of the back of the connector. Nick
  12. Received my new half doors from Steve at YC Plastics. They seem well made but thicker(4mm) than I thought. Any tips on shaping them? Had a quick go with a heat gun but no luck in shaping them. Nick
  13. Think the Cosworth springs are no longer available, Boss Racing upgraded mine to Kent Cam valve spring kit. Nick
  14. Is it a Toad Sterling Excel immobiliser fitted Chris? I think one of the two immobilised circuits is the starter motor and it's turning over and the other is a live feed from the ignition to the fuel pump so it sounds like that is ok? Might be worth removing the scuttle and checking were the clicking is coming from? Nick

  16. Had a seven for 20 years and never had to change a bulb away from home. Not worth worrying about IMHO. More likely to have a puncture with no spare wheel
  17. Tim I flagged up the ATDO issue to APlan but was not aware that the 5 track days I have on my policy are not covered until the wording is changed? Is this what A Plan have said as when I booked Goodwood they confirmed I will be covered. Nick
  18. Apologies, I meant the oil seal at the rear of the gearbox. Even if you don't know much about cars a good garage can show you the issues up by putting the car up on a ramp and pointing out the problems.
  19. I assume you mean the rear gearbox and diff oil seals? They will need to either remove the diff to release the prop shaft or take the engine out to replace both seals I believe. Long as you trust them to do that work, its not difficult if they have a ramp.

  22. Dan, Caterham sell a dip stick as does some other unmentionable outfit. I made one up using a kebab skewer and a plastic top which I can use by bending the tongue. Would really like measurements off the Caterham one to verify my low/high marks.
