  1. Hi all I have currently 8x13 CXR's on the rear and 7x13 front but would like to know if i can fit 9x13 rear and what offset is required please. I dont like or want to use spacers. Thanks Arv
  2. All sorted thanks..
  3. I managed to get some Ferodo 2500 front and rear, and they are much better than the original pads. thought i might get a bias issue but it seems quite balanced.
  4. I was offered some last night, with avon slicks, and 2 sets of honing rubber. pm me for info Arv
  5. Asked Simon before i posted on here, sadly he dont do them now,
  6. If you get Nitrons go through Simon Rogers at Meteor he supplies a different spring. just had mine done last week and it transformed my 7 (see my blog)
  7. I've been told there was a company making these with either a drain off built in, or with a seal incorporated into the plate. Are these still availible and if so where can I get one please.
  8. Chomping at the bit i took the R500K out for a brief blat. 2 words: Transformation Planted The steering is superb with feedback now, the bumps dont send the car into the bushes, and im not fighting the car, i can finally relax and drive. Previously on a blat with some Penn 7 members we was out for 4 hours, and on reflection it was not enjoyable tbh, it was a workout to say the least, a skittish car with power trying to kill itself isnt good, isnt fun.. I can actually say i'm looking forward to my first blat since the changes, bring it on..!
  9. The car weighed in at 508kg (approx 9ltrs fuel on board) Camber front 1.9 camber rear 1.5 Caster was set 5.0mm Tracking front Tow out 1mm Tracking rear .05 in Height at front 130 Height ar rear 146 Rake 16mm Tyre pressures 18 psi on Avon ZZR'S Nitrons road settings (FULL OFF) to be reviewed.. Spring rates: 200/130 lbs PLEASE NOTE THESE SETTING ARE A COMPROMISE, MAINLY FAST ROAD, WITH SOME TRACK/SPRINT DAYS.
  10. Each bolt removed was cleaned and copperslipped. Traditional wheel alignment (without lazers) was very simplistic in its design, but very effective, by a series of measurements from two nylon lines, works superb..!
  11. Full day at PGM. firstly I have to express how delighted I was to watch Andy Jupp at work, his methodical approach fills me with confidence and is rare nowadays. So my 7 was booked in for a complete geometry set up, including flat floor, corner weight, rake, camber, caster, and equally as important new Nitrons supplied by Simon Rogers of Meteor motorsport.
  12. 27 psi today was dreadful, drifting into 4 wheel slides at relatively low speeds. down to 17 to see what that's like. Ho hum the unknown is a hitch. . Ps what's these khumo tyres like? especially for sprinting?
  13. See second paragraph http://www.lotrdc.com/tyres-avon-zzr
  14. I was told that the low pressures mentioned above could damage the sidewalls
  15. Since having my new set of ZZR's I've been advised to set them from 14 psi to 32psi Reading the advice on the Avon website, I've decided to keep well away from the lower pressure, due to potential tyre wall damage, so my question, does anyone know a correct starting point for hot days sprinting, and possibly track days? cheers Arv
  16. Hmmm lovely, im glad it wont fit my K series
  17. Any condition any colour as long as its a SLR cage please.
  18. Still looking for that SLR cage sitting in the shed unwanted, collecting dust, while my money is burning a hole in my pocket..
  19. Fitted at the moment on my R500 are "Delphi Pads" and there is no feel to the pedal, in fact i would go as far to say they are very poor indeed, and need to be removed no matter what.. A few brand names have been mentioned like Ferodo, Mintex, Pagid , what im looking for is something with a good first bite, not something that requires temp before performing, your suggestions would be very gratefully received. regards Arv
  20. Running Standard Billies all round and what looks like "Delphi pads", I have decided to upgrade to "NItrons" Via Simon Rogers, and "Ferodo pads" both front and rear of my R500k (2000). Booked in at PGM end of next month (July 2015) to get Nitrons fitted, camber, rake, tow adjusted properly and finally flat floored to suit little ole me . The reason for upgrades. Well to be brutal, the brakes are rubbish, you can stamp on them and just hope for the best, Simon has suggested we go Ferodo all round. The ride is suprisingly smooth but it tends to want to throw itself into the hedge, when faced with adverse cambers in the road, and i feel it wallows a bit too, So Nitrons are on order. I recently went out on a rather eye opening Blat down twisty roads and found i was battling with the car, to keep it from comitting suicide at each bumpy bend, (not how it should be im sure), and far far from its limits. Preping car for some sprinting, I feel it would benifit emmensly and make my driving alot more enjoyable too. Will update..
  21. *beer*Already made contact Mark, cheers.
  22. Mankee, very interesting, I will follow this up.thanks. Andrew ,cheers it's the slr type I'm after thanks.
