  1. Hi Had a look at the archives and found Redline MTL GL4 for the CC 6 speed. That was from 2003, is it still the best option? And the quantity? Also, for the Titan LSD, what should I use please? And again, how much do I need please? Thanks, Julian
  2. Hi. i am sure you were referring to the lottery there? 'fraid not
  3. Can you hold off your sale until I win the lottery....
  4. You have two reversing lights???? One is normally a fog lamp. Even if it has a clear lens, the bulb should be red and be operated by a switch on the dash?
  5. Number corrected, thanks for the correction Mr Cheesecake More potentially useful info for those anally retentive types Using the above ZZS and CR500s, a comparison. Anthracite with ZZR F 12.1kg / R 15.1kg Apollo with CR500 F 10.5kg / R 12.4kg
  6. Further to my previous posts about ZZR and ZZS, after two sets of the S for normal road use I have now returned to CR500. I thought it would be useful to compare weights ZZR 185/55x13 7.35kg, ZZS 185/55x13 7.65kg, CR500 175/55x13 6.5kg ZZR 215/55x13 8.6kg, ZZS 215/55x13 8.80kg, CR500 205/55x13 7.25kg Cheers
  7. Super, thanks Charles. Indeed good news.
  8. I have now done two K series engine swaps, both times leaving the gearbox in. The car was an SV. How much more difficult is it to do the job on an S3? And will I need to take the gearbox out this time? Cheers
  9. Possibly on the way to Brands Hatch for the weekend, if so, Ill be there Sunday . I hope you have a great day. I flashed from my white Polo, around 5.50am
  10. I don't seem to suffer with oil surge [mech oil gauge] except for hard right hand cornering where pressure drops rapidly to 2bar. Not once that I have observed during acceleration. I don't have foam but do have a have an apollo tank. I tend to keep my oil level between max and 1/2 way down and read it the recommended way when engine is running and hot. I often wonder if the foam might be there to aide reading the oil level when the engine is hot and running? It might stop the oil splashing all over the place hence dip stick reading is more stable? It might also serve as a filter to help stop the bottom end of the engine sitting in any debris in the [unfiltered] oil when being started.
  11. we exchanged waves, between Cowfold and the A23. I was in my blue with aeroscreen, followed by Alan in his Green with Yellow stripe.
  12. With green and black wrap that really stands out, you probably didn't see me, I was waiting to pull out of a side road when you went past.
  13. followed by an Alfa? I waved from my Blue aeroscreed Seven, followed by Alan in iphis Green with Yellow stripe!
  14. Sorry bought secondhand. Refitted last night, no test drive yet. Idles very nice.
  15. Longshot this but would like 1x 215/55R13 ZZS part worn so i can wear out my set of ZZS's before I change tyre type.
  16. Thanks for the info and pics Steve. Its a bit difficult to get to the West Sussex meet after work so I'll have to decline. The photos give me a good idea of what I need to do though unfortunately it look like I am going to need new trumpets too.
  17. Hi Steve I will need my setup in the future, just not this year so no swopsies, sorry. Dave Blenkinsop is selling a Scouse airbox on the FB group at the moment. That might be useful for you? What filter and backplate do you have? Standard fuel rail?
  18. I did wonder if they might be but was seeking a more experienced opinion. Not planned any trackdays so I fancy removing the Scouce and enjoying the music
  19. Hi Is there an air filter and backplate that will fit on Jenvey TB's with 90mm trumpets and the standard Rover fuel rail and will go over the chassis rail? My car is an S3. Thanks
  20. I think 2 were little squirts!
  21. Hi My injectors went for service today. Apparently they all flowed well and the same but 2 had an incorrect spray pattern. Would that make a lot of difference?

    Kmaps

I was very happy with K maps, both times I used them.
  23. Great morning run arranged by Martin. I was fourth.
  24. Thanks for the suggestions. I eventually found someone close to me, Abbey Motorsport in Oxted. Thanks to NIFTY, they are going to be dropped off on Monday for 24hr turnaround, they stock all the parts, just in case. I was going to use SBD but getting them there was going to be a PITA.
  25. Appreciate recommendations of companies that offer injector cleaning/servicing. Mine quite clearly need some TLC based on fitting some loaners [same spec] yesterday and the car being transformed into an Exocet missile in 10 mins Thx
