David M Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Hi, I have been searching for some workshop manuals, exploded engine diagrams etc. for the Duratec engine 2.0 or 2.3, and am finding it damn difficult. Does anyone have anything to aid my new hobby!!!! David GF04RCE is built running and on the road.... every day is a Caterham day!!!! Nick Woods Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Isnt the Duratec fitted to the latest Mondeos ? A Haynes manual might have some of the info you want Nick Red and Black 1.6K supersport visit Carrotland.co.uk
David M Posted June 25, 2004 Author Posted June 25, 2004 The Haynes manuals only seem to go up to 96, and I believe the duratec would have been used in the Mk3 Mondeo... dba11 Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 Ummm, i believe the 2.3 Duratec is out of the Galaxy, and not the Mondeo.
Nick Woods Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 I thought the 2.3 in the Galaxy was a Zetec although I dont know for sure Nick Red and Black 1.6K supersport visit Carrotland.co.uk
David M Posted June 25, 2004 Author Posted June 25, 2004 Cheers Graham, not sure how I missed that...... I shall get a copy and see how much reference there is to the Duratec..... On the Galaxy subject, my understanding is that currently there are no production cars with the 2.3l in them.... David GF04RCE is built running and on the road.... every day is a Caterham day!!!! Bare Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Suggest a Mazda Dealer.. Both the 2.0L AND the 2.3 L Duratec engines come with Mazdas attached.. they are Mazda engines after all :-).. Manufactuers Shop Manuals are usually V good.. just Pricey.
simonbell Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 I have the Haynes manual which has a reasonable amount of info.....I guess the workshop manuals will be more comprehensive though! New duratec powered build underway *New website soon* I`ve seen the future.....and it`s powered by duratec
