Ross_H
Arnie, Have you considered making some bigger front wings like the new caterham ones which extend further down infront of the tyre, I'm sure i remember from somewhere that these apparently do wonders for front lift, even though they look a bit odd? ross. Richard_E
Just been looking at Mogs site. Lots of new stuff but whats all the pure black surround to the the carbon cycle wings and nose 🤔. The cycle wings for the larger rims do not have this.
Joachim Westermann
@Richard the black edge we need because we produce wet laminated carbon parts. Arnies or Caterham parts are prepreg parts made in autoclave. They can puzzle the prepreg carbon parts single in the mould. If you look exact to a Caterham or Arnies rear wing or nose cone, you see that the first layer is made from a lot of single parts. That is OK, but only possible with prepreg. We can not do that. Our first layer of carbon is always cut from one piece of carbon weave. So on the "corners" we can not cut or puzzle them. So we make the resin on this "corners" black. We find this design very good and the parts are not so expensive!
Richard_E
@Joachim, Thank you for the explanation, it all becomes clear (or black ) now. Cheers again, Rich.
