simonhar
I have a straight forward lockable filler cap on my 2002 K series. Despite lubricating the locking mechanism it's become seriously difficult to un lock. I must be looking in the wrong place but I cannot find a replacement, any suggestions? Wrightpayne
If it is the plastic Rover cap, I’d place a wanted advert - many change them to the aero ally type.
Wrightpayne
From the Caterham parts catalogue (spiral bound paper version!) the rover cap described as Cap-Fuel Filler-Injection (91 onwards) is part number WLD 10010. Ian

Ian Thanks Correct part number but doesn't seem to exist anymore on any internet searches. Following your idea of a wanted request

simonhar
Thought so, I think I have found a used one on eBay with keys, which I hope will work better than existing one. None of the usual old Rover suppliers have them, so looks like it's a scrapyard source
Neil220
I have a Rover one with 2 keys. I don't know what you have lubricated it with but WD40 or similar is not good for locking mechanisms, it mingles with dust and forms "goo"! You should use graphite powder

Neil220
Apologies for the delay, I don't use the site everyday. Yes, I have one that I replaced with an aero one. Best send me DM if you are interested as then I get notified via email. Regards, Neil
