New CC LED rear lights "number plate bracket"

Just fitting the new CC LED rear lights. The fixings holes for the number plate light are different. Do most people just re drill additional holes & seal up the old bracket holes?

I did that, but I think if I was doing the job again I'd try to use the existing chassis holes and drill appropriate holes in the bracket. It's completely bonkers that the holes don't match.

I felt the worst thing about the kit was the idea of drilling all the extra holes in that chassis rail, for the loom and the bracket. 

I ran the loom over the top of the fuel tank where it is held by cable ties on adhesive bases and I used the centre hole on the bracket and added a couple of pieces of 3M VHB double sided at each end. So no extra holes.

Another thing I did was remove the connectors from the main lights and run a 34mm grommet onto the wires, refit the connector and now the hole in the wing behind the light is filled in. I bought blind grommets and punched 6mm holes in them.
