Marking forums Read

I view the forums most of the time using the "New and Updated" section.

Once I've read the threads I want to there is no way(?)  that I can mark all the forum read.

If I view ChitChat or any other individual forum area there is the Forum Tools drop down that allows me to "Mark all topics read".

Would it be possible to add this function on the "New and Updated" section?

I asked about this a while ago, but I never heard anything about the suggestion.

It's doing my head in.

I'm not interested in a large portion of the content.

I'll probably just stop logging on at all.

Grebby, I've prompted that we investigate this in the Leadership Team but I can't say whether it's an easy aspect to modify. It does seem strange that it was  included on the individual forums but not on the new and updated list, unless there's a technical reason for its absence.

Every other forum I'm on has this function in one way or anotherso it should be possible somehow.

It's just doing my head in having to go through each individual forum marking it as read after I've read what I'm interested in via the "New and Updated" section.

I've had a quick look and cannot spot an easy fix - there are some very old posts on the Drupal forum about people wanting to do this and not being able to do so

That would be a shame. If there isn't a technical solution would you like to explore ways of working around this? When something similar came up before I was surprised by the variety of workflows used by Members.
