  1. Thank you for looking. I'll just stop visiting unless I have a specific question or reason to come on.
  2. Thank you. Every other forum I'm on has this function in one way or anotherso it should be possible somehow. It's just doing my head in having to go through each individual forum marking it as read after I've read what I'm interested in via the "New and Updated" section.
  3. It's doing my head in. I'm not interested in a large portion of the content. I'll probably just stop logging on at all.
  4. I view the forums most of the time using the "New and Updated" section. Once I've read the threads I want to there is no way(?) that I can mark all the forum read. If I view ChitChat or any other individual forum area there is the Forum Tools drop down that allows me to "Mark all topics read". Would it be possible to add this function on the "New and Updated" section? Thanks Grebby

    R300CWB ?

Chris, I was collecting the small people from school. You were driving past the primary. It was nice to see you (and the others) at the meet and I hope to be back next month. See you them. I'm absolutely useless when it comes to remembering names. After a couple of years they tend to sink in though Cheers Ian

    R300CWB ?

Blue on trailer in Mere Green at 3ish today
  7. I've just had to remove the cycle wings then bend the stays a bit and re-bond the wings on. It wasn't too bad a job in the end just a lot of faffing to get teh old tigerseal off.
  8. Yep. Once I saw a picture of one I knew what they were it's just my google fu wasn't working yesterday. I have normal fuel hose clamps as you showed above. I also have a home made version of this which I might use either side of the one way valve as the result is a lot less bulky than any clamp and doesn't catch on things.
  9. Thanks Ian. I have fuel hose clamps. I was just wondering what a "monoclamp" was? My google fu failed me yesterday but seems to be working today
  10. I've got this in the garage Is it what you are looking for? I think I got it from GJT god knows how many years ago. As can be seen in the pics there are some scuffs on the boss and a chip in the powdercoat? on the mounting ring.
  11. I'm checking my fuel tank breather at the moment and I have a copy of the Workshop Notice but what is a "monoclamp"? The notice says to secure the valve to the fuel hose with a monoclamp but nothing is shown in the photos. Cheers Grebby
  12. All sorted and bonded back on now. I did bend the stays a bit but also spaced the wing up off the stay a bit. This allowed the wing flange on the inside edge to contact further up on the angle at the corner of the stay which also moved the wing outwards.

    Avon Tyre Codes

I'm currently sorting this on my car. I'm having to bend the wing stays a bit and reposition the cycle wings. JV - CR500s are a very square tyre. I.e. the sidewall is very flat with a fairly sharp corner to the tread The tyre guys commented on this when I was having the ZZSs fitted.. The ZZS sidewall bulges out a lot more. The larger tyre diameter combined with this bulge causes the sidewall to rubs on the cycle wings. Ballooney is just a way of saying bulgey outey sidewalley Damn it... Crossed posts and now you are using all technical terms.
  14. Had another bit of time today so popped the wheels back on an tried the wings in place. The right hand side clears nicely but the left hand side still contacts the tyre I had a quick check and the LHS wing stays are further away from the wheel than the RHS which is causing the problem. So back to needing to bend the wing stays a bit. Any advise on the best way to do this? The wing can't be moved completely out of the way because of the indicator wiring. Do I need to pull the wiring and feed it back through afterwards?
  15. I managed to get the wings off and the adhesive cleaned off this morning after dropping the kids off at school. I had a good look at where they were bonded on first though and I recon I can shift them outwards by a good few mm if I flex the wing lip a bit by the stay uprights. I hope to get a bit of time over the weekend to get the wheels back on and try the wings in place. I waiting on Tigerseal to be delivered and then I'll give everything a good clean up and stick the buggers back on again. I'm certainly feeling a lot happier that the tyres will fit afterwards
