fia roll bar underside bolt

ok so hopefully my roll bar will arrived soon.removed the old one and noticed that the hole for the fia underside bolt is very close to the shocker bush top.What type of bolt is used from underneath,counter sunk? any pics

A special thin headed bolt is used. Caterham can supply, or make your own. Use a non chamfered socket to tighten it to prevent rounding off

Also use a six sided socket not a multi point

Metric chassis - mine's an M10 x 20mm hex socket head cap screw, on each side.

Imperial - same set screws as used for securing disc to hubs

I used a 14mm socket as it was one I was prepared to attack with the grinder. Despite being a 12 point socket it is a good tight fit on the imperial size bolt.

you would think after spending £300 plus on the bar they'd throw the  2 bolts in.....it arrives today hopefully ,so we'll see what the fits like

is the imperial bit the measurement /dimensions,or the thread of the tapped holes? could my imperial bar have metric threaded holes in it or imperial threads?
