simonhar Posted March 13, 2021 Share Posted March 13, 2021 I have just bought a half hood, Caterham/Thundersport version. The side straps have a metal loop designed to fit with the spare hole on the flange at the base of the FIA upright. Is there supposed to be a large popper to fit here for the loop to go over or just trap it under a large washer? The Caterham video on how to fit it suggests that the strap is already fitted on new models so if this is the case has anyone got this and what fastening is used? Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted March 14, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted March 14, 2021 I can't comment for the metric chassis, but on the older imperial chassis the side strap fits under the head of the small 1/2" AF bolt that is immediately to the outside of the rollbar tube. If the strap then "points inwards", when the half hood is fitted the strap runs up the rollbar tube, if you see what I mean!No poppers involved.Stu.
