rj
For an oil temp of 10 degrees and cranking with no spark plugs?I was expecting at least 40 PSI at the speed it was cranking.
7 wonders of the world
Arh no plugs so thats fine, not far short of idle speed,OE Duratec pumps can go beyond 100 psi on cold start at idle....... the PRV certainly gets a good work out

Toby S
I thought k series were normal if between 2-4 bar (28 - 56 PSI) - my 1400 supersport typically stays in that range (slightly higher on start up, and sometimes below - down to 1.5 bar on idle when hot) - haven't a clue when plugs are out etc
rj
It's on 10w30 running in oil at the moment.I used to see around 25psi at idle and around 75 at full welly when hot. That was on 10w50.The engine now is a complete new build except from valve springs / caps and the cams. Hence the oil pressure should be like a new engine. revilla
When we out Roger's engine in last week after a complete rebuild we also cranked it with the plugs out and saw around 60psi (cold, obviously). That was on 10W40 running in oil and his starter was very enthusiastic on a jump start off my diesel so I reckon you're in the right ballpark there.
