rj
Paul,What does SWMBO drive? 911GT3? Otherwise she should be lost within the first 30 seconds.
Paul Mason
A fiesta ST Line, obviously I obey all speed limits so she can keep up. Well she can catch up as I get to the speed limit quicker...... In all seriousness though, most time when blatting on the road, it's the joy of being out there that is the pleasure, not necessarily the speed
rj
There's a reason I don't use the car on the road:I would not keep my license for long. I hate mobile chicanes like Toyota Aygos and they really .... me off.
Paul Mason
But, on the flip side of that, there is no better way to view some of the magnificence of North Yorkshire, Weardale, Teesdale & Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, than in a 7, with the occasional blast of noise and flurry of speed as you overtake the aforementioned Aygo
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted November 22, 2018 Area Representative Share Posted November 22, 2018 chase car For me it isn't necessarily about speed, the acceleration to get past things is nice but it is about the feel, the style, the openness. rj
We're not gifted with North Yorkshire, Weardale, Teesdale & Northumberland let alone the Scottish Borders in Denmark. If you find a quiet twisty road it'll be gifted with a womans estate with the boot lid open parked 18 inches from the road side just after a blind corner.Fortunately I always take into account that there's an elephant around every blind corner. If not I'd have parked the Cat in the boot of a Peugeot 405 estate some years back! (No kidding!)"But the flowers are so nice" when I told her of for not at least pulling over before she stopped the car to look at them.

Paul Mason
If you have a YouTube account RJ I'll share a video of a run up Harstide Pass which is a favourite of mine. No silly cornering or excessive speed for all the reasons you mention (plus I'm very aware of cyclists and walkers) but it's a beautiful stretch of road to enjoy
CageyH
I don’t have roads like that round here either. But the Pyrenees are only two hours away!
rj
Paul,Unsure what you mean when you ask if I have a Youtube account. Obviously I do as both the trackday spinning around video and the hot lap were on YT.What info do you need?I also have a server where you can drop files via a secure connection. Nothing is impossible for he who is not doing it.
Paul Mason
Ah yeah, now you've said if, fairly obvious ha ha. I don't really know how it works but I think I can share a video with you privately and not out it on public you tube from my you tube account if you send me your name via PM
rj
I think all you need to do is to make the video "private" and then send me a link to it in a PM (or an email). If the latter use blatchat at rj dot dk

Paul Mason
I don't like spam, but curiously my dear mother who simply cannot cook for toffee (bless her, I do try to be polite when I tell her) cooks the most amazing egg and spam flan (we're northern so it's a flan and not a quiche) which I cannot stop myself from eating. Paul Mason
Ah, takes me back. My nana made egg and pek flan, my mother egg and spam. Maybe it was a rebellion thing with my mother, who knows. But both top notch (though in her later years, nana Doris's food did start to all taste of fags, but he ho, no one's perfect)
