anthonym
I was told they still have the complete site and only took it offline because of lack of resources (internet space). I offered said resources at no charge, but silence ever since. Perhaps start asking ?
rj
I could have hosted it as well - have about 3TB of free space at the moment.
Paul Mason
I never experienced it, but I quite like what there is here. It's easy, it's clear, it's modern. Sure, I get the comments about search, technical pages and resources etc but surely that's stuff we can fix between us. Can't see any point in going back to the past, I mean, you wouldn't drive round in a car designed in the late 50's would you??
TomB
Old BC had some charm, but agree we need to look forward, afterall, no one misses Ceefax or wants the internet to look like it!
CageyH
If the search function was as good, then it may help.
anthonym
IAM not thinking of bringing it back on line to use it live, read only reference. However, when it was available at 236.com or whatever it was, it was very useful as a reference tool. It also meant I could go find my old posts, nicely formatted, and copy and paste them, nicely formatted, in to the new site. Old links were there too etc etc Given the transition broke the history, allowing us to fix stuff ourselves would seem to be sensible. It never occurred to me my words might be interpreted another way. As if ever. Anthony
