Andy Lef
Any POBC know if something like this might work on the car? I (still! ) have the old style indicator holders on mine, rather than the newer pods.thank you.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 27, 2017 Member Share Posted June 27, 2017 Are you thinking of specifically whether it will fit the pods?Beyond that: There's a vast amount in the archives. Some LEDs don't offer enough load to make the flasher unit work. But it's an easy swap to one that will work with anything. I'd want to know that the off-axis brightness was adequate. All comparison photos welcome.Jonathan
Andy Lef
So a quick Google tells me that boltonbits are rubbish and un-relaible, however, these used on LRs are a better bet.I'll do some measuring when i get home.Incidentally I already have the flasher unit fitted to deal with the new SVC LED rear light blocks i've just fitted - pics to follow - but a quantum difference from the caravan glow worms I used ot have. elie boone
If you go LED make sure you have a electronic flasher unit
dom69
Hi,If it's just so you don't see the amber light behind the clear leans then why not try 'mirrored' bulbs? i have them on mine and you can't see them when not in use but flash amber when indicating. Got mine from Halfords.

TomB
Will that relay still allow conventional filament bulbs for the rear indicators, or do you need to go fully LED if you fit a LED relay?
raw
The relay in the link above is quite happy with a mix of filament and led lamps, I have used on both the Seven and my S1 Land Rover. Andrew
