Blacken
Thinking of removing the sidescreen mirrors which shake about under speed for stanchion-mounted wing mirrors. Is there a popular and practical upgrade model out there that anyone would recommend?
JNC
Stanchion-mounted are ok but they will limit the side-screens opening !.
Blacken
I am aware of that thanks but at least l will be able to see who is behind me.
JNC
Ah, but when my side-screen mirrors vibrate out of focus so does the windscreen mounted mirror !. You have to make sure who is behind you before you give it the beans.
John Vine
Have a look here. I went for the CBS ones - excellent.JV
7 wonders of the world
Stock CC mirrors on the SVA / IVA pillar mounts work fine.
Garth
I had these made up which work really well (better with smaller mirrors!) no more 'shake' than the standard IVA post mounts and doors open fully!
Dobson_justin
I have just bought the Pitking mirrors from demon tweaks, and I am very happy with them.

Bone Rat
Hi, I installed the Racetech single seater mirrors about 4 years ago, easy fit to the stanchion. Was for the same reason. The lack of opening is far outweighed by the improved visibility. Quite cheap at £24 each. Can also easily store the doors when out, well when alone. Can't post pic as in work but this is the item as an example.http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/mirrors/racetech-single-seater-mirror-2Andy
nickh7
This style used to be available from Redline totally vibration free
chisel86
Hi JustinDo the Pitking mirrors you bought still allow you to use the side screen pin holes? I've just picked up some wind deflectors that use the side screen pin holes and I want to fit a mirror that doesn't require drilling new holes in the saction. Thanks
Dobson_justin
The mirrors come with a replacement for the bottom windscreen bolts, that then allow you to take the mirrors on or off easily. They are handy when you don't have the doors on
Dave Rayner
If it's of interest I have a spare mounting kit which allows the use of Racetech mirrors on existing windscreen pillar screws
