micksmetafors
Does anyone have a speedo drive (the part which screws onto the top hat)?Could do with one with good wiring as mine snapped just on the sender terminals and doesn't look to be solderable. Can't find it on CC partsthanks, Steve, Glos
Member Jonathan Kay Posted November 6, 2015 Member Share Posted November 6, 2015 I think that someone identified it beyond the Caterham parts number... possibly a Ford part. It should be in the archives.Jonathan

SM25T
Mine did that a few years ago. It was turning forward and back quite a few degrees with each gear shift ..... so I put some bearing lock on the outer face of the top hat flange and retaining circlip to help stop the whole assembly turning and fatiguing the cables. Tazio
I have tried looking through the archive to establish the origin of the sensor, found a reference to a farnell part, but looking at that it bears no semblance to the Caterham part, so was wondering if anyone can shed some light on a source for one? micksmetafors
On the packet of the one I luckily bought, it comes from Caerbont with their part numberTES1800-3029. It also has CC's number of 71254 on it. The description is "Speed Sensor 9 pole"Not sure if Caerbont would sell one directly but Speedy Cables might do a repair for a less than CC want for one if they ever get any that is.Hope this helps.Cheers,Steve
