solstice
I'm in the process of fitting shiny new quantum dampers and would like them to stay that way! The rears shocks that came off were particulary cruddy.I have used neoprene covers for the front forks on my Enduro bike to keep the crap out. Has anybody seen a similar product that would fit the caterham? I'm guessing that a motorcycle sock would fit the front shocks but the rears are a bit too long. Birkin S3 ZA.
You can get the ones that fit the shocks on quad bikes, they are about the same spring size 2"Chris.
oldbutnotslow
Try DT. They are listed in the 2015 catalog
solstice
Yep, I've seen the R&G covers but they are motorcycle specific and not lond enough for caterham rear shocks, think I might cut up an old wetsuit and lash something up! TomB
Hi, this thread is just what Im thinking about for my new rear Ohlins, as my Bilsteins are filty with brake dust and road grime. Have you fitted some sort of cover over your dampers? Could they trap moisture though, while keeping them clean accelerate corrison?

Bigape
I'm not sure this would help, but I use the ACF-50 spray, far better than wd 40 . Its worth using it on various areas in the present road/ weather conditions. All weather Bikers swear by it.Available on ebay
TomB
True, but they are very expensive dampers! On the other hand, if Ohlins are like other Swedish cars, theyll last forever and a bit of road filth wont do any harm. Ive got a can of ACF-50 so can throw some of that around. cr500dom
Put your ACF 50 on (Id be tempted to check compatibility with the piston rod seals first mind) then wrap up the damper in a cover
