Lotus Seven Club Watch - available for purchase

Hi,

Looking forward to see the designs!

For me)

1) Yes, absolutely use the 7 if possible

2) If you ask people to choose between 1) Design 1 only, 2) Design 2 only, 3) Design 1 before design 2, 4) Design 2 before design 1, the numbers should decide if both designs or only one are produced?

3) Don't limit the number produced, as far as I'm concerned. New members should be able to get one.

Quoting MartinH:
Assume CC's intellectual property rights in regards to the '7' logo have been considered? They would probably have to grant a right for this. If we can't use the '7' logo for this I don't see the point in highlighting the number seven on the dial personally...

Hi Martin - yes, we are tied slightly by branding guidelines and corporate ID rights that Caterham have on colours etc. but as I have discussed with Alex, as I understand it the design we are looking at does not infringe on any Caterham trademarks or corporate iD guidelines that they have *thumbup*

Update 3 - 14/7/14

This is a big update - we now have the art work for two watches which will be put to a vote of club members to see how we progress. Depending on responses we may have two different watches, one watch of the more popular design or no watch at all. To re-cap, a minimum of 50 watches are needed before a design will go into production. No orders will be placed at this stage - the poll which follows is to establish interest. However, it is hoped that if you vote that you will buy one particular watch then you will do so when the time comes. It is expected that watches will be ready for delivery in early 2015. The order process will begin when it's clear that there is enough interest.

The two options below are final designs. Whatever goes into production will look like the presented designs. Yes, you can post on here that you'd like if watch better if this was different, or that was different. But the watches won't change, so don't vote that you'd buy ones design if it was changed and expect that will happen.

Each watch has a custom dial and case back. The case back also includes the option for custom engraving included in the prices below. This is normally a £25 option on any watch purchased from Christopher Ward. As it is the watch, not straps, which are customised, it doesn't matter what kind of strap or bracelet you'd prefer. We need 50 watches ordered, with any combination of strap or bracelet. On the C3 an upgrade strap can be ordered with a clasp rather that conventional buckle. This will add £25 to the watch.

Order details will follow in due course. The watches will be numbered, with serial numbers available for request on a first come first served basis. Watches will be numbered up to 50 or 100, depending on demand.

Option 1: C3 MkII Quartz Chronograph

£265 on leather or £315 on a bracelet

Please open the poll here so that we can gauge interest before we move forward.

This is the last stage before orders open, assuming that there is demand. Personally I think both watches look great and really hope that at least one goes into production. Over to you. *smile*

☹️ Very Very disappointed , if I've read this its the black face or nothing , had my heart set on a Seven Club one as well

Really liked the white face and logo so I am out , I'll buy a standard one

Thanks Alex for going to all the trouble to sort this , they are great watches are really like what you've done with the 7 but as I've said it was the white face I was after

Regards

Well done Alex,

I think the C10 is great, I would like to order one if it goes ahead and would like No. 8 if possible.

At the same time I would even stretch to having the C3 as well to make the numbers up, again No. 8 if possible. (is that being greedy?)

I have a few months to work out how to hide them from 'er in doors *biggrin*

Thank you

Paul

Great work Alex. I'm in for a C3 Quartz with brown strap. I'd like number 7 unless OliW gets there first. Failing that I'd like 70 or 42. Not sure anyone will want 13.

Edit: If number allocation isn't possible, I'll take whatever is given - although I really wouldn't want 13.
