siva
Hi, Looking forward to see the designs! For me) 1) Yes, absolutely use the 7 if possible 2) If you ask people to choose between 1) Design 1 only, 2) Design 2 only, 3) Design 1 before design 2, 4) Design 2 before design 1, the numbers should decide if both designs or only one are produced? 3) Don't limit the number produced, as far as I'm concerned. New members should be able to get one.
OliW
I agree with the above completely. Oli
deckchair
I have a trident pro already, quality product. Would love a 7 inspired one!
nickh7
like the 7 number idea a lot , I do wish we could hurry up and sort this before the money I got for the aero screen goes on strappy tops
pugwash
Siva's approach looks good. I have just seen the d type version of the c70 with the speedo and rev counter on the dial. That looks really cool to me!
Wile7
Quoting MartinH: Assume CC's intellectual property rights in regards to the '7' logo have been considered? They would probably have to grant a right for this. If we can't use the '7' logo for this I don't see the point in highlighting the number seven on the dial personally... Hi Martin - yes, we are tied slightly by branding guidelines and corporate ID rights that Caterham have on colours etc. but as I have discussed with Alex, as I understand it the design we are looking at does not infringe on any Caterham trademarks or corporate iD guidelines that they have Dave
DebbieS
I have bought a lot of Christopher Ward watches and they are very good. Can I suggest you don't go for the very large size or at least have a choice so we girlies can also wear. 35 - 38mm as well as the 42 44mm. Thanks. CPS7
Id be interested in one depending on final design and cost, pref smaller case sizes too. I see the backs can be engraved too, any thoughts on a standard wording?

gazzat
A highlighted 7 would be great. Will they arrive in plain wrapping so swmbo won't be aware on contents
Alex Rae
Update 3 - 14/7/14 This is a big update - we now have the art work for two watches which will be put to a vote of club members to see how we progress. Depending on responses we may have two different watches, one watch of the more popular design or no watch at all. To re-cap, a minimum of 50 watches are needed before a design will go into production. No orders will be placed at this stage - the poll which follows is to establish interest. However, it is hoped that if you vote that you will buy one particular watch then you will do so when the time comes. It is expected that watches will be ready for delivery in early 2015. The order process will begin when it's clear that there is enough interest. The two options below are final designs. Whatever goes into production will look like the presented designs. Yes, you can post on here that you'd like if watch better if this was different, or that was different. But the watches won't change, so don't vote that you'd buy ones design if it was changed and expect that will happen. Each watch has a custom dial and case back. The case back also includes the option for custom engraving included in the prices below. This is normally a £25 option on any watch purchased from Christopher Ward. As it is the watch, not straps, which are customised, it doesn't matter what kind of strap or bracelet you'd prefer. We need 50 watches ordered, with any combination of strap or bracelet. On the C3 an upgrade strap can be ordered with a clasp rather that conventional buckle. This will add £25 to the watch. Order details will follow in due course. The watches will be numbered, with serial numbers available for request on a first come first served basis. Watches will be numbered up to 50 or 100, depending on demand. Option 1: C3 MkII Quartz Chronograph £265 on leather or £315 on a bracelet Black dial Quartz movement 39mm case 10.2mm high Choice of brown or black leather strap, steel bracelet http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/4BB118AF-18CA-40CA-AB61-98A8BC3E4E14_zpszagprydk.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/D0501E5D-C158-4072-8DCC-3DE19EF331B2_zpsv2qfmhtj.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/FD3022C6-5A63-4E88-A2AD-29C5930E9E30_zpsaa0cdyut.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/D98CC8B5-B621-4A31-878F-6074D7024F80_zpshjafk4dj.jpg Option 2: C10 Automatic Aviator £475 Black dial Automatic 42mm case 9.7mm high Choice of brown or black leather strap, no bracelet http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/9FE23842-59F5-474E-A460-CC72C97F03F3_zpswjg0dikj.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/74B6DD07-A2C1-40F7-BF65-70245D8F7E6C_zpsowkacgkj.jpg http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k535/Clach77/L7C/D17AB862-04AB-411A-B886-0B2AD576D3B0_zpsbsjfcezb.jpg Please open the poll here so that we can gauge interest before we move forward. This is the last stage before orders open, assuming that there is demand. Personally I think both watches look great and really hope that at least one goes into production. Over to you. Stationary M25 Traveller
Well done Alex. You might want to edit the wording of Q1 on the survey. I like the C3 Mk II with bracelet
siva
Survey done. Both designs look good, thanks for the work. I prefer the automatic, but would buy the other design if that's the only one which goes into production.
Alex Rae
Thanks siva - that's a good point. I've added a question to ask that if one watch is produced and it's not your preferred one, would you buy it. Ian - correction made.
nickh7
☹️ Very Very disappointed , if I've read this its the black face or nothing , had my heart set on a Seven Club one as well Really liked the white face and logo so I am out , I'll buy a standard one Thanks Alex for going to all the trouble to sort this , they are great watches are really like what you've done with the 7 but as I've said it was the white face I was after Regards Edited by - nickh7 on 14 Aug 2014 20:30:
Mowerman
Personally I like both with brown strap, so I'll have either one, which isn't an option in the poll... Big thanks for all your time and effort.. Cheers Kev
OliW
Excellent effort, thanks very much Alex! Can I have number 7 of whichever is made please?
BigCol
Great work Alex Nice-looking watches but like nickh7, not to my taste or what I was hoping for, I think I'll be doing a Duncan Ballentyne...
Neil66
Option 1 - Non starter for me being quartz Option 2 - Would have preferred the C8 pilot over the C10 but either way not keen myself on the replacement of the "7"... So for those reasons, sorry but I'm out..
Guest
In contrary to most of the above, I'm in Option 2 (C10 Aviator) is my preference. Would love to have number 50 of
pugwash
Well done Alex. I am for option 2, the C10. I guess you will go for 1 of 50 so would like 2 please. Regards Mark
Wile7
Good job Alex....I'm in Still unsure which model I prefer - I have a C3 and really like that model but the aviator is rather a nice timepiece. Let's see what happens Dave
CPS7
thinking on it, but any chance of a club discount from Chr Ward for other purchases?
Guest
Well done Alex, I think the C10 is great, I would like to order one if it goes ahead and would like No. 8 if possible. At the same time I would even stretch to having the C3 as well to make the numbers up, again No. 8 if possible. (is that being greedy?) I have a few months to work out how to hide them from 'er in doors Thank you Paul
Mort
Great work Alex. I'm in for a C3 Quartz with brown strap. I'd like number 7 unless OliW gets there first. Failing that I'd like 70 or 42. Not sure anyone will want 13. Edit: If number allocation isn't possible, I'll take whatever is given - although I really wouldn't want 13.
