myothercarsa2cv
Is it lighter than the rubber grip? 😬
Damdy-Cash
Quoting myothercarsa2cv: Is it lighter than the rubber grip? 😬 sure, this will bring your gravity point massively down and transform the handling of the car. So in case this will happen and you install it, be careful when you drive the car first time, you need to get used to it first!! 😬 I've ask Carsten to provide a price idea. Guest
This may be a silly question but I will ask anyway :) What happens to the button on the end of the gear lever. Is that part of the main gear lever itself and the rubber grip is separate and can be removed? If so, really like that. The standard one is rubbish! Damdy-Cash
as I got the proper 😬 under the dash handbrake I have no clue Tom, but Carsten confirmed you are right cheers Volker
pugwash
Tom, I have been exchanging emails with Carsten. He also confirms that it just pulls off. However I have just been out in the garage and it seems firmly fixed. I am hoping that someone will be along shortly to tell us to just man up and bash it off! Grubbster
Sounds like you may have the newer version of the handbrake lever Tom (like I do on my Academy car), it is a nasty bit of kit compared to the old style (that I have on my other 7) - on the old one the rubber sleeve that you grip slides off and you can replace it with a different type (e.g. this one), I don't think the new style lever comes to bits ☹️

Guest
Thanks for the info. Would be a shame if I couldn't get the current one off. I made a point of saying to myself during the build that I'd replace it if I could. I'll have a look this evening and see whether I think it's removable or not.
