ECR Posted May 6, 2013 Share Posted May 6, 2013 Sounds like the brake is catching It could be the auto reverse mechanism is causing problems, only rotate the wheel in a forward direction. Or The brake friction material is glued to the shoes and I have seen this fail with the result that the friction material falls off the shoe. Once on my old trailer and once on the shuttle. When this happens the friction material can break up and cause problems. Maybe the friction material is loose in the brake drum and is jamming. You are going to have to remove the brake drum to see in any event. It's a simple job, and if you need new brake shoes drop me a line, the Brian James ones were very expensive. Good luck ...
