cskip
I have run out of Mobil 1 Motorsport, so I am looking for a replacement oil for my Xflow. What is the replacement oil of choice 🤔
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 17, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted December 17, 2012 I suggest that Mobil 1 is not neccesarily the best choice for a Crossflow anyway. You need to use oils with sufficient ZDDP content. This has been reduced because of damage to ctalytic converters, something many of us (especially Crossflow owners) do not need to worry about. Valvoline VR1 is usually prefered, but they no longer declare their level of the additive. Consider Millers race standard oils.
OliverSedlacek
What grade Mobil 1 do you want? I've been using Mobil 1 0W40 in my XFlow for the last 80,000 miles with no problems.

Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted December 22, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted December 22, 2012 Just filled mine with Millers Classic Performance 20w50, chosen in part for the ZDDP protection of the cams.
