myothercarsa2cv
Measure, measure, measure, measure some more, measure again, and once more for luck. Put some masking tape where you want to drill so it doesn't wander, use a bluntish bit, the right size, and go for it Go from the shiny side, and don't spin it too fast - a screw gun is the weapon of choice. Though most will say "STOP! Glue it on!" or just bin it Edited by - myothercarsa2cv on 23 Jul 2011 11:19:
anthonym
yes, glue it? My cycle wings are themselves glued on (long story there). Use that black gungy stuff, I believe it's used for windscreens. very sticky gooey yucky stuff and very effective. "Sikaflex" is the stuff I think. DJ.
You can use the rubber base as a guide for the hole sizes and a hand drill to give complete control. I just used a rat tail file to enlarge the wiring hole, it's surprisingly easy but does create dust. Duncan
TonyR
Better still don't fit them on the wings as they look awful. They look much better fitted in the headlamps using Fiat barchetta indicators
James_Russell
Slightly surprised by the recommendation for a full sized bluntish bit- I would always drill a 3mm pilot hole then enlarge it with a step drill.
Grubbster
I used a small drill, then a larger drill, then a dremel - quite straightforward to do. My wings were marked up by CC though, that made it easier.
