How much of the front wing should cover the tyre?

Hi there,

 

I am just about to fit the front wings on my new SV 150 build but I am unsure on the position of them to pass the SVA. The wings have a build up groove on the inside which lies quite nicely on the front stay but when in this position the front of the wing leaves some tyre exposed when looking from above. Is this position OK to use?

Yes, that groove is there to stop putting them in the wrong place and then failing IVA

As far as I remember, the front edge of the cycle wing must be forward of a vertical line projected up from the front edge of the wheel rim.

I understand that the ridge is formed in at a new position specifically for IVA. The original position was 65mm from the front of the wing on the stay.

That would make sense after mine failed IVA due to wings 3mm too far back. Tillet/CC had not marked the reference points to help line up the wings and I just installed them where they seemed right.

Just measured mine and the groove is 95 mm from the front edge and so seems it is IVA compatible.
