Dutchy
I need to replace the bleed nipple on my front caliper. Any ideas where I can get one, are these fairly standard in all calipers? Ive got AP 4 pot calipers! Steve

myothercarsa2cv
They sound brilliant! Might well order four for me 😬 Let us know if you find out the size ETA, though, I have standard brakes... Dutchy
Turns out my older 4 pot ap calipers take a 3/8 unf thread. I don't think the speed bleeders come in that size ☹️. Got some original one on the way.
Clousta
I had a set on my MGBGT 30 years ago - they were great.
myothercarsa2cv
Does anyone know the thread size on standard calipers per chance?
myothercarsa2cv
Well, according to CC, they think 3/8 UNF. Hmm... Perhaps I could order some from the USA... Anyone know if you can get speed bleeder type things in this size? Edited by - myothercarsa2cv on 5 Apr 2011 16:26:
BBL
Quoting Dutchy: Turns out my older 4 pot ap calipers take a 3/8 unf thread. I don't think the speed bleeders come in that size ☹️. Sure they do - here. This page lists ones to fit AP Racing calipers as P/N SB1010. However, I went a different direction, and bought a "Speedi-Bleed" K400 here. This device is like a Gunson Easi-Bleed, except it has an adjustable valve with a pressure gauge in the line. It works well! (no affiliation, just a happy customer). myothercarsa2cv
Found and ordered 😬 Went straight to Goodridge, they do do them in 3/8 UNF, so they're popping four in the post to me. Looking forward to seeing how well they work! Will certainly make my life easier!
Pat the Plumber
can you just get the rubber covers, to prevent all the crud blocking it all up.
