NickB7
hi i'm looking for a reputable k series specialist near stratford/banbury region. I'm concerned about head gasket as water is coming out of the expansion tank after a run and would like to get an assessment of whether the head gasket needs replacement. I have seen other ideas such as air locks and new caps (i'll get one to try) but would like to know if it is more sinister! thanks Nick
Cookie Monster
Nick You could try Brooke Kensington in Bicester.01869 325551 Have used them a bit in the past & you (did) deal with the guy who works on the car not some hired help. I can't remember his name for the life of me but he was very good. They did a lot with Elise's & had a decent Elise loan car! Since moving a bit further south I have used the 7 workshop a bit more as its handier for work. Ed to add the guys name is Simon & their web address is: http://www.brooke-kensington.co.uk/index.htm Phil. regroo
Hi, I work in Banbury and have had HGF so would happily take a look. I would recommend DVA in Milton Keynes (oilyhands). Look him up or go here HTH

Area Representative gileshudson Posted September 11, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted September 11, 2009 Nick, Get the cap first as by far the cheapest solution to the most common issue. Get your car up on normal domestic wheel ramps at the front and run it, squeezing all hoses when warm with cap off, bleeding screw on rad if applicable, etc. Hope to see you at a club meet soon.
