jonboylaw
I guess this is a pretty simple one, but how much EP90 should I put in the rear axle (Ford)? Jonathan ----------------------------------- Ital or Ford... the choice is yours.... Hmmm, I'll have the ford please Bob.
Wrightpayne
The filler plug is also the filling level - just fill it till it runs out. If you jack the back up you'll get a little more in. It will be 1.something litres. Regards Ian PS I think its only the ital axel that benefits from overfilling. Revin Kevin
Jon,Ian Both need over filling especially if you are doing track work, they both suffer from surge due to the oil moving up the axle tube. How much, depends how you do it, if you are jacking the car up and using the filler, as much as you can get in. If you fill thought the breather I put in about an extra 3/4 l over what goes in via the filler. Cheers Chris Edited by - Revin Kevin on 25 Mar 2008 09:21:
RiF
Caterham said a litre was enough when I brought some the other day! Now I have to get more to finish the job ☹️ Definitely more than 1 lt.
