Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted January 27, 2007 Leadership Team Share Posted January 27, 2007 Can anyone send me a photo of the "standard" engine bulkhead layout for a Superlight R? I'm refurbishing and trying to make sure I get items such as the ecu and reset switch all in the original position! Thanks in advance! Stu. NigelJ
Sorry can't help with a photo but really there is very little on my SLR bulkhead. The ecu sits on the far left horizontally with the MFU below it and the reset switch is vertically behind it. Cheers NigelJ
Delberts Wallet
Stu. My supersport layout is the same as a SLR that I know of (Justins old one). I'll take a photo if its gonna be any help. Alaskossie
Generally speaking, is there any technical reason (other than possible vertical space available) that the ECU could not be mounted vertically against the bulkhead? I don't have a Caterham handy yet, so can't do the measurments myself... Tom Meacham Alaskossie
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted January 28, 2007 Author Leadership Team Share Posted January 28, 2007 Cheers guys, I'm sorted with the ecu mounting - on the heater tray, "facing" back towards the bulkhead, but I'm trying to sort out where the other bits go. I have 2 rivnuts on the bulkhead behind and above the ecu which currently I assume are for the ecu reset switch, but is there definately nothing else? I know Supersports/K-series have a small black box in the vacuum line, but is there nothing on an SLR? I'm trying to make sure all the necessary holes are in the correct places before sending the bulkhead and heater tray for powder coating. Gareth, a photo of Sandy's bulkhead would be ideal Stu.
