Std front brake calipers ?

Please can anyone guide me in the right direction to obtain a new set of standard front brake calipers for my 98 super sport s3 ? 

Im sure I read somewhere they are from a spitfire/herald or similar  but would appreciate some clarification on their origin.

The next question is where can I get a set from ?

They are Girling type 14. They were used on a Triumph Spitfire.

They are widely available.

An alternative is to fit Hi-spec 4 pot calipers on the std disc, much lighter and better brake performance. A std caliper is about 60 quid from the known Triumph specialists the hi-spec is listed at 132 quid.

I got one in 2016 for a 2003 SV from James Paddock for £63 including VAT and delivery.

I purchased a new pair of Spitfire calipers from a well known classic car 'spares shop' last year, they are now in the bin. After numerous telephone conversations complaining about their performance (very long and soft pedal feel) and being told that I had been supplied with the incorrect bleed screws and that I hadn't tightened the bleed screws tight enough and then I had over tightened them I gave in and rebuilt the old ones.

I must point out that the new ones I purchased were not original Girling they were some aftermarket copy from wherever! So just beware where you purchase from and what you get.

I am replacing my standard callipers (from a 2013 car) with HiSpec ones - can offer you my old ones at a bargain price if you wish, Ralph.
