  1. In the middle of the Croydon Rotary displays was a 7 in highly polished alloy with clams - we were too far away for us the see the reg but it looked good.
  2. Blue nose, higly polished ali body parked on Cleeve Road Leatherhead around 1:00pm today - just caught a glimpse as I was on my way to a meeting.
  3. Could have been LE0 - out 'recharging the battery' at about that time
  4. This afternoon, between Warlingham and Sanderstead - you waved as we passed in opposite directions. You had your roof off but we had ours on - because my wife felt it was too cold without it!
  5. LE0 is a 2003 1.8k SV with a totally unmodified engine now on 122,000 miles. I have changed the oil (Syner-Z) and filter every 6,000 miles and the foam every 12,000. For roughly half the mileage the engine has been run with the foam and apart from the colour there has been little difference between the old and the new. For the other 60k it has been run without after one lot of foam started to break up and the only change I have noticed is that the oil seems to warm up more quickly, based on readings of the idling oil pressure. So I'm squarely on the fence with a foot in both camps!
  6. Outside Rendezvous in Westerham - dark green or black with orange/red stripes - registration something like GN12HWE. We were out in LE0 to 'recharge the battery'
  7. And at the Jersey Air Show! *thumbup* Even did a final quite low flypast over St Aubin's Bay on their way home. Also a trio of unusual aircraft - Saab Viggen, Draken and Sk105, plus the only Morane-Saulnier MS406 still flying in the world................
  8. J1292? green, on the A1 St Aubin's Bay heading towards St Helier at 5:50pm on Thursday 11th September We're on holiday in LE0 silver and black.............. Edited by - anton on 16 Sep 2014 20:41:06
  9. Spotted by my wife as we went past: 5 or 6 Sevens in the car park of the Fox in Small Dole at about 6:55pm tonight - were you on the way back from Shoreham air show? We watched from West Beach, Shoreham by Sea - was a great day!
  10. you flashed us - GN04 CPU? - great day for a blat!
  11. *arrowup* Obviously I don't drive hard enough - it took LE0's K Series 117,000 miles and 11 years to break one!
  12. First was on the A24 heading south at about 2:30 pm today: blue, reg T44NKK And once more, passing The Compasses Inn, Gomshall, heading east on the A25 a bright green Seven, registration unknown. Nice day for it! Edited by - anton on 24 Aug 2014 19:21:05

    Pesky MGs

Saw two frogeyed Sprites (enthusiastic waves), one very old open MGB - knock-off wire wheels, chrome bumpers - a real classic - waves from both driver and passenger, similarly two old 1930s open Austins (one old gentleman driver politely raised his hat!) and finally an Atom - lots of waves.
  17. Bright yellow, two up, passing The Compasses in Gomshall heading towards Dorking at 18:05 today. LE0, as usual, was hidden between two normal-sized cars and we were enjoying a meal in the pub garden on the other side of the Tilling Bourne.
  18. Proxy spot by my wife of a silver/metallic blue 60 plate heading along the A222 toward Sidcup just before the roundabout over the A20.
  19. Over the years I've noticed a definite spray from the washer nozzles when I accelerate hard if the bottle is fairly full so I'd confirm that is a possible source of your splashes.

SBFS modified mine to cover the headrests - works fine.
  22. We went for a short run out after our granddaughter had gone home and ended up in The Compasses Inn in Gomshall. At 17:40, two blue Sevens. possibly with sliver stripes, went through heading west, then ten minutes later a yellow one, heading east, followed in another ten minutes by an old red Seven with chromed roll bar. Finally at 18:15 a yellow Seven with silver stripe headed east (I think you spotted LE0 tucked away in the carpark) - were you the one we'd seen earlier coming back? Nice day for a blat!
  23. Just suffered with this on my offside rear tyre - one of a pair of new Toyos. Took it back to the place that fitted them and a bubble test indicated the rim had not seated properly. So they cleaned up the inside of the rim again and refitted it. Held 16psi for a week then started to go down. I found it pretty flat at the office (6psi) and re-inflated it with a can of tyre weld. It has maintained 16psi now for three weeks...............
  24. Long time passing....................
