  1. You may need to pull and push a little to get the cage aligned, but no too bad a job.
  2. I have must try MTL oil as my six speed is a little stiff until its warmed up. Tony
  3. A number of owners have used the Caterham oil pump, sump but instead of using the bell tank have simply fitted a seperate tank. I interested in finding the costs of the parts to convert to this spec. Tony.

Myles, if you are thinking of becoming a motoring journalist I suggest you stick to the day job. The Superlight is one of the best all round packages. Six speed box, decent brakes, excellent handling etc. And they go pretty well in the club sprints without 185bhp. Tony.
  5. Sound to me that the diff bolts have been loose from new Hope you get it fixed soon. Tony

    DD .25 Ears

I tried a wanted for these a couple of month ago for my 2002 Superlight, rarer than half doors Finally bought new from Caterham, paid in the region of £90 + Vat. Fitted them in around 90 mins, without undoing the 41mm driveshaft nuts. Tony
  7. Looking to fit a shift light to my EU3 engine (2002 Superlight). Will the standard Omex Sequential shift light work ok? I recall that with some shift lights and EU3 engines you had to fit a resistor. Tony.
  8. At the May Curborough sprint a couple of 1.6 K series with the standard plenums hit around 170bhp on the mobile rolling road, not sure what cams etc.they ran. I don't know if any of the guys who run 1.8 K's put their cars on the rollers over the weekend. Tony Edited by - TonyR on 4 Jun 2005 16:45:05
  9. Zak, PeeWee's engine is a EU3 version and the ECU has 2 plugs. TonyR

    .25 Degree Ears

I'm after a pair of .25 degree ears in good condition, to suit my 2002 Superlight as I may change from CR500's to ACB10's for the Club sprints. Tony
  12. I believe the EU3 runs smaller injectors. TonyR
  13. David, 1.6SS Max Torque 110 lbsft at 5000 rpm 1.8SS Max Torque 124lbsft at 5250 rpm Rob, I suggest we recommend inlet restrictors for 1800's this season 😬 Tony.
  14. James, Don't know if I will make it yet. If you buy Motoring News they often have the English axles for sale. Tony.
  15. James, You need to contact Arch. I believe you will need the mounts changing on the axle and a small chassis mod. I would suggest you run a similar diff ratio as you have now. Tony.
  16. After seeing a flywheel explode, it went through the bell housing and came out the bonnet I would only use a steel one. TonyR Edited by - TonyR on 31 Dec 2004 17:51:15
  17. Pete, I'm off to my mothers for the day tomorrow but I'm available Tuesday to help. I have a multimeter you could borrow, I could drop this round in the morning. Tony Edited by - TonyR on 27 Dec 2004 00:13:53
  18. Rich, Do a search, I'm sure Rob margel had a set of Superlight dampers and springs for sale early December. TonyR
  19. David, I will have a PC625 please. Tony.
  20. Myles, I'm sure I read somewhere about the EU3 IAVC and Emerald not working together. I will be interested in how your install goes Good luck. Tony
  21. Myles, I have tried all options under the immobilser function, still no joy Regarding the tickover I have now blanked off the IAVC and trimmed using the throttle body air screw, still not much better. Tony.
  22. Myles, I have used the 1.8 standard EU3 map all year on my 1.6SS EU3 with no problems with the exception the tickover now fluctuates between 900-1300 rpm. I rewired the loom rather use a converter. Hope you have more luck immobilser than I have. I wired mine to pin 13 the led goes out using the plipper, but when the led flashes I can still start the engine Tony

Graham, BMTR in Birmingham did me a good deal on CR500's and they stock ACB10's. They have a web site but phone for best prices. TonyR
