  1. Hi Ian You have Blatmail in response to your message Regards Steve
  2. Interesting comments, I always thought that spotted as a seperate forum subject should be dropped. Remember when spotteds were in the chitchat forum? I think everything was all in one originally? I've often thought that "for sale" and "wanted" should be combined too. You occasionally see somebody wanting something that's on the for sale section. It's true that many members never visit Blatchat at all (gasp!). Also, one or two of our local members don't have Internet access at all (shock horror!)
  3. Looking for a much loved crossflow with great spec? This is the one. Thread re-opened now that spring is just around the corner.
  4. Jonathan, there is a vestige of this thread in the For Sale section. That's where I accidentally posted it initially. Shaun moved it across to Chitchat "to see if it was possible" but it looks as though the comment section still remains on For Sale but has lost it's title/heading etc. Not serious as it will not normally be done, but logged anyway for Shaun's info.
  5. So, we now have the feature to move posts. It's called Shaun
  6. How embarrassing! Anyway, it's still a great improvement. Now then, how about requesting a feature to move posts to the correct forum
  7. Nope, still can't see it, only through my profile. Did I post it in Chitchat or somewhere else accidentally?
  8. Brilliant improvement in performance today. Well done Shaun and team.
  9. Hi Ian You now have an email on the subject. Thanks Steve
  10. Hi Ian Thanks for the clarification and the tip regarding web access. Works ok, so at least we can monitor new area mail now. We seem to have lost access to the folders that we created but hey, I'm sure Barry will come up with the goods. In light of this we are relieved that we still use our own lists . We don't mind if you "name" at the AR meeting but we won't be "ashamed" Steve
  11. Very slow and clunky for me too. I venture to suggest that this is the biggest problem with the forums. I can no longer flick around threads and categories like we used to, and soon get fed up so log off and do something useful instead
  12. Ian I have been thinking the same. The only way I find AR pages is if I find an email from the AR forum and click on the link. Were the AR pages overlooked during development phase or during the migration? Also I cannot connect to the club email server at the moment - See thread on the the subject. I'm seriously thinking about going back to maintaining our own Carrotland lists, having recently migrated to the AR area list! Would need to inform Low Flying (again) to go back, but will hold fire for a while. Unfortunately I currently have no idea whether members are emailing the "Norfolk and Suffolk (Carrotland)" address and may be waiting for a response from Pierson or myself
  13. I thought it might have been a permissions problem, hence the question regarding a password on your machine. As it was, it was a case of RTFM Glad it's working ok now.
  14. I am now able to post a couple of pictures of this super retro Seven:
  15. Uploading 1.9Mb image (Close to 2Mb maximum):
  16. The workflow was precisely as per Forum User Guide, sticky on Chitchat: To insert a picture that is on your own computer: Position your cursor where you want to insert the image in your post, and click the Image button (resembles a couple of mountain peaks). Click "Browse Server", and then "Upload" in the top left of the new window that appears. Selecting "Choose File" will open a file explorer window where you can choose the image file that you want to upload and click "open". Click "upload" and after a few seconds your picture will be uploaded to the server, and appear highlighted in your own folder. Click "Insert File" at the top of the window and the image will appear in an Image Properties window where you can chage the size if required, or simply click "OK" to add it to your post. I don't have a password on this machine Do you have one? Maybe the site code cannot cope with asking that question?
  17. Jonathan, I'm using Safari 6.2 with OSX 10.8.5
  18. I'm getting more impressed with the new website every day. We can now upload images to the club server, rather than having to point a Blatchat comment to a different server and store the image there.
  19. Spotted this afternoon on the new relief road round Haywards Heath, Sussex. Kawasaki Green, you had a motor cycle following. Not sure if he was with you or maybe having a fun blat too?
  20. One of our local members has had to give up Sevening after 24 wonderful years. He has reluctantly asked me to put up his Seven for sale. It has a great spec and is in super condition. If you are after a cracking Crossflow, you won't find a better one. Let me know if you are interested. Asking £11,950. Here is the spec in Mike's own words: 1988 build Live Axle Short Cockpit Bench Seat Car with 4 point belts.Clamshell wings with full bright red paint including rollbar.Full classic hood (not high vis), full tonneau, luggage rack, wind deflectors, D bar, hood bag & other bits including build manual.50000 miles- serviced by James Whiting & then Chris Wheeler for many years. Gentle use since.Quaife 4 speed straight cut close ratio gearbox- New clutch in 2011.Quaife LSD.4-2-1 exhaust plus extra quiet box(spare).Superlight 13’ wheels with Yokohama 021R 185/70/13 tyres, virtually new.Flat floor set up + uprated springs.FIA type rollbar made by Mick & Doug Arthur.Electronic ignition & rev limiter (set at 7K).Rebuilt suspension 2003.Twin throttle return springs, ignition cut out & hidden immobiliser switch.Fail safe engine mounts, oil catch tank, heater cut-off valve.Relocated radiator, fan & cowlingMany track days over many years. Just one spin at Goodwood with no damage (only mishap was grass cuttings in the drivers underwear!!)This is a lovely car in great condition that I have owned, loved & cherished for 24 years as a member of LSC. The history file is bulging. My health is now not great so the time has come to pass her on to another who can cherish & enjoy her as she deserves. She deserves a better life than sitting here under dust sheets!
  21. Spotted this afternoon around three, crossing at Dartford. Blue with orange stripes, aero and helmet. Jealous 😬
